i'm a huge fan of Eileen Fisher. lusting after this heavenly structured yet light as a feather Eileen Fisher blazer. she uses the best, most incredibly comfortable and luxurious fabrics. doesn't look that exciting in the photo but WOW the fits is amazing and looks polished in that "effortless," casual cool way. (anyone ever see friends with money? the clothes designed by frances mcdormand's charcter completely reminded me of Eileen Fisher )

I like things a bit loose ( partially to account for shrinkage; i wash the hell out of my clothes with total disregard for washing instructions) so i tried on the Petite Large and the construction and tailoring was done in such a way it still looked proportional to my frame rather than schleppy and over-sized, as is the case with other brands. if i can control myself I will wait for this to go on sale

I already got most of my f/w wardrobe, but I'm on the hunt for three items right now;
~ Black pencil or pleated skirt [either or- I want one!]
~ Black boots [I was leaning towards combat, but riding seems good, too.]
~ Some sort of jacket [I'm thinking of a black trench. I have one from last year, but it's too short- I want a longer one this time.]

I'm aiming for those three later on this fall.
I'll also be adding in tights/leggings [though I already got this great pair of grey ankle length leggings..] if I can just find the perfect skirt. And I might get a couple of blouses, too. [And cardigans- because I'm obsessed with them.]

Oh, I just remembered; for some reason, I really want a pair of black sparkly ankle length leggings. I'm in the mood for shiny/sparkly [holiday-esque] things this season? <3 I don't know.

^ God LOVE that coat tooo... I so want a camel coloured cape this year after seeing them in a mag the other day...seen these really nice thick ones in a sort of mohairy, alpaca material... I'm also still wanting those gloves from Thomas Pink... and I def want a wee fitted tweed jacket... also seen a cashmere poncho at the weekend from the white company im thinking of getting... really nice black one, just put off it maybe a wee bit as its quite thin and would only be good for autumn really... going out for another look at the weekend when ive more time though...

Ida, that coat looks great

Since my last post I've realized that I do need that toggle coat from Topshop, especially as it's now available in an olive colour it's probably going to be my uniform this winter together with my new COS black leather satchel.
Though reading this thread has made me aware of the fact that I lost my beloved dyi'ed knit circle scarf last year. So I'll probably make a new one this year

Also I need to find fun tights and by fun I do not mean crazy neon colorful or AA tights (you know front is different colour and back of tights is in different colour...).

you're right- the pics really don't do it justice...
it's really cute with the chiffon overlay and the knit fabric makes it as comfy and stretchy as a cardigan...
has a sort of chanel meets lanvin feeling...
and i like the cute shrunken fit...
