Got the left side of my lip pierced have done now for 4..years maybe ? I wear a labret..nice and subtle.

Standard ear piercing, tongue, and nose for me. I've have my ears since I was a child (Perhaps 3 years old or so?), my tongue since I was 18, and my nose for just 3-4 months now. The nose has to be my favorite

i have 14 years and I have two piercings in the ear, one in the eyebrow and one in my tong

I have my nose, tongue, ears and septum pierced. used to have eyebrow, belly button and other side of nose done too, but those got boring.

I have my ears done, but I realllllly want my nose done!

Tell me (someone who has had it done) is there any blood?

im a bleeder i bleed loads .. and i can honestly say there was only a little bit .. ive got my nostril and my septum and can honestly say neither hurt or particually bled

I want a septum piercing so bad. :( I'm going to take one soon, I hope. I'm not sure whether it will fit my face/nose or not, though. Manipulating in photos and actually having the real thing is quite different...

some one was talking about healing times for belly button piercings. I had mine done ages ago and it didnt take that long. I found the secret that I passed on to all my friends after they had theirs done and they all thanked me for it. Here it is - swim in the sea! You are told that salt water is good to cleanse the newly pierced area, so go for the ultimate. Be it just an hours swim a week or a daily 10min swim in the sea you will find that it heals really quickly and risk of infection is dramatically decreased. I also did it or my nipple which can take up to a year to heal and mine was fully recovered after just 3 months!
Thats my secret - it stings quite a bit at first but i find healing pain as good fun! It tells you its working! Try it if you dont believe me!

im running out of piercing space. Ive already decided that I will never have one on my face - psychologists with facial piercings is usually cause for concern! hehe. I havemy tongue, nipple, belly button and 4 in each ear. Plan another two in each ear and i have been considering something a bit firther south but im not sure as the risks are quite high and im not sure if itll be worth it! None of them hurt - worst part was having the nipple clamped and pulled out far enough to get through! eye opening but not painful really.

When I pierced my nose and septum there was barely any blood and neither hurt!

vette: Septums are awesome because if you want to hide it, all you have to do is flip the ring up into your nose!

how about well-done surface piercings?

I want a corset. But too bad they're only for professional purposes. Right now I have two industrials, two navels, monroe, and nostril. I'm getting a single-snakebite. I believe that's what it's called? If not? Can someone fill me in?

Bottom and top took forever to heal. Well I'm always doing things in that area. Bellydancing, yogo, and taibo, etc. It was worth it though. :innocent:

I was so impatient-I hated those little wrinkly fine lines but they went away with the help of shea butter.

I love your collarbone piercings, EleganceIsRefusal! Looks very cool ;)! How long does it take them to heal? Did you ever have any problems with them? I heard they could be pretty difficult.. and if you took them off it would leave a huge scarve, and the guy who does the piercing has to be a real pro.

the latest reply possible

i've since taken them out as surface piercings dont actually ever fully heal you should always remember this when thinking about getting on. im only left with two small holes.

and heres a nice picture to share with you! ha ha ha!

i now have a tragus and anti tragus my body doesnt like them though i find cartlidge hard to heal:doh:

I have a belly piercing (done about 8,5 yrs ago) and a tongue piercing (tomorrow two weeks - which is still healing) :)

I just got my first piercing today! I got my cartilage on my left ear with the type of ring you normally use for a septum (the kind with two balls that doesn't close) I'm so excited!

I have 3 piercings... Navel, Tongue, Labret.

I had them done ages ago... the first 8 years ago  (I'm 23 now).

I had a different style back then... Lot more confused  (hey, I was a teenager), rebellious, a bit punk (not much).

Now my style is totally different. It's a lot more classical. Sometimes (especially going out at night) is rock. Sometimes vintage, like 50s, 60s (polka dots, vintage dresses). Sometimes a little boho.

I'm eclectic and I have fun with clothes, but the thing is... My piercings really don't "go" with all these influences I have now in my style (except for the "rock" one).

That being said, I cannot remove them. The more obvious/evident is the labret one. But after all these years, is a part of me. I don't consider it an "accessory" anymore, is like my eyes. A part of me.

I wrote this long entry (and sorry for the imperfect english) to ask all of you (not only the ones that have piercings)... what do you think of people who have piercings but have a style different from the one that is usually connected with them (like punk, emo...)?

Do you think piercings are an obtrusive element in different styles, or something original, edgy, different?

Thanks in advance for the replies... I'm really interested!:flower:
