I have one in my tongue, and one in each ear. When I was younger, I wanted one in my belly, but when my mom finally said yes, almost everybody had one. So I got my tongue pierced I really like it, most people I meet don't see it, so it's okay. I'll probably take it out when I get a job (depends on the job).

^ Why would you have to take it out if you find a job? Sorry, I am bit confused.... I thought tongue piercings weren't meant to be visible, so I am surprised you'd have to take it out for a job....

I love piercings. i have my belly button, nipple and tongue pierced. I also have 4 holes in each ear. i plan to get my nose and lip pierced sometime, but i think tattoos are gona break it up a bit. im not afraid of looking different and i love that all mine are easy to conceal (at the moment!)

I mean I'm probably going to take it out when I start working, because I feel that it won't suit me anymore. That depends on what job I get, but if I have to meet a lot of serious people and stuff, I kinda think it won't be appropriate anymore. And I have it for 4 years now, and I'm getting a bit tired of it, it's time for something new

I love piercings cuz they're versatile unlike tattoos. For the longest time I've wanted both my ears pierced all the way around but I saw someone the other day who had that and her ears looked pretty messed up.

Piercings depend on the person. some really looks good with it and are perosn persons

But on some it ju looks tacky. Like the "under the lip" piercing, can look quite awful in my opinion.

People tend to associate piercings with "bad" people... But all you need is to ask people WHERE does such a thinking come from, and they'll realise how ridiculous it is to judge others based on PIERCINGS or tattoos....

A few piercings I find interesting, but that I want to study more on, after I get my septum done....:

-Smiley piercing (done with a captive bead)
-Surface bar piercing (on wrists, near hairline)
-Tragus
-Very minor ear stretching (no more than 10 gauge...)

Oh pretty. How long have you had it in? I had mine done for almost a month then it started hurting SO bad. Really not bareable. So I took it out. That was my favorite piercing of all. And my monroe. I wish I had taken pictures of the wrist one... I hope I get it done again sometime!

Nobody really notices my piercings. Even when I had my navel pierced, not a lot of people knew. I'm thinking about taking out my tounge ring though. I think I'm getting a little old for it.

get it done its fab apart from the odd times i knock it on doors and the many people that get freaked out by it are many and its hilarious i love to see them recoil in disgust

but remember surfaces dont last forever since piercings on flat skin cant heal.

i have pierced my upperlip and tongue and they are my babies. i'm planning to move the upperlip piercing from the left side to the middle, and then i'm supposed to put lobes on ears aand put tragus on left ear.

i love piercings, although too much is too much i know few people who have their face full of metal and it isn't pretty at all..

I just have a question... Is there a major different between a 14 gauge and a 16 gauge captive bead ring? I am getting my septum done and the girl told me they only pierce with 14 gauge or less, they don't do 16 gauge.....

Is it normal...? And is 14 gauge too big...?

Example, model Tasha Tilberg... Her ring the right size for me... but is it 14 gauge or 16 gauge she's wearing?

14 definitely isn't too big. Tasha's looks like it may be smaller. you can always get it done with a 14 and when it heals some, just put a 16 jewelry in. I stretched mine to a 10 and still wear the retainer i stretched it with. I like it. everyone else wears some kind of jewelry in theirs. mine resembles a staple. when i feel like getting "dressed up" i put a really small hoop earring in it. it just barely hugs the bottom of my nose and doesn't dangle at all. it looks nice, definitely a little more discrete that the retainer.

^ thanks for helping LauraC..! I am getting it (my septum piercing) done finally (this week) after so much waiting... with 14 g captive bead ring.... in silver color... the way you describe yours sound very pretty, esp with the simple hoop... i bet it is gorgeous...!

Elegance, too bad surface piercings don't last long enough, they're sooo pretty...!
