Honestly, I would not do it unless you want everyone who sees your stomach to assume you're gay.

But that's a positive thing, is it not?

Personally i like it better on guys than girls.

I don't like belly button piercings on girls OR guys... So my opinion is, NOOOO! :p

I had a very good gay friend with a belly button piercing. It always just looked so weird to me, seeing it peeking out from under his tight shirts. Just kinda freaked me out.

I like piercings in general as long as a person doesn't go overboard with them (more than 6 piercings and I say it gets too cluttered looking), and I think a ring in the bellybutton doesn't look bad at all--however: Bellybutton piercings take a VERY long time to heal, and they're quite painful. I've had a number of friends that have had it done, and the area around it stays red for many many weeks, if not months. It's supposed to be at least as painful as nipple piercings, which I'm too chicken to get.

Myself, I went for the P.A. and the septum--the P.A. nobody sees unless, well, you know (and it's probably the quickest healing piercing out there), and while a septum piercing is healing, you can wear a retainer that nobody sees (looks like a horseshoe that flips up inside your nose), and if you decide you don't like it and take it out, nobody knows you ever had one. The bellybutton piercing I suppose is the same way in the sense that you can't tell it was there once you take it out, but man oh man, the pain that a bellybutton piercing causes a person to endure.

If you really want to go for it, then do it. I think it's great when people go for what they like, but be aware that it's very painful and takes a long time to heal.

ok well if want it , go for it
but i'm a guy and that's probably the last spot i would get peirced , i don't think it look sexy on a guy

hmm when I first thought about it I thought to myself "No" because I've only seen gay guys having belly peircings. But then again if you have a 6 pack and a manly belly peircing barbell then it might look okay but still it may seem gay-ish.

Honestly if you really want one go right on ahead. Its your life and your body do what you want! I know I had one and it looked so pretty. It was so hard for me to take care of my peircing because I heal really slow and after 2 years it never healed and it just got infected so now theres a little lump on my belly button. :( i miss it but it just didnt work well with me.

I think if you want to look manley dont have one because personally i think it puts a label on men which states Gay.Nothing wrong with being gay but if your not you might get a little upset if people think you are.I think belly button percings are for girls, i think there very pretty and very girly.
This is my personal view.
But as Sungodess said ''if you really want one go right on ahead. Its your life and your body do what you want! and i totally agree with this.
Hope u make the right choice which you will be happy with.
My percing went fine, i didnt have any pain or problems.

if you are super tanned and have the nicest body go for it. but only in gold and only a tiny tiny hoop

It's up to you but my opinion is...it looks a little a weird on a man. I'm not really a fan of piercings other than ears even on girls so I'm not the best person to ask. I'll just say, it's one of the most popular piercings for getting infected and it's not a pretty sight.

Man... you say you're too chicken to get a nipple piercing but you got a Prince Albert?

Piercing the latter would be MUCH more nerve wracking to me than a nip-nip.

I'm a chicken when it comes to pain and something that takes a long time to heal. Placement of the piercing isn't so much the problem. Nipple piercings hurt like hell and take a long time to heal. P.A.'s are slightly painful but is one of the quickest healing piercings out there--every time you uruinate it cleans it out (one's own urine is sterile to your own body).

I don't understand why it would be weird on a guy. I think it looks weird on girls too. I don't get why it's a gender issue. Maybe I'm out of the loop.

out of experience i would say nipple piercings dont hurt like hell and are easy to heal. but i supose its different for everyone.

and i think they only stomach piercings that suit guys are horizontal surface piercings just below the belly button. but thats just my opinion:flower:

Only if you have an androgynous and glam style to begin with.
Makes me think of Richie Rich.. He's tacky like that, but pulls it off.

no way baby... but i don't like piercings at all... i think guys shouldn't be so feminine...

I'm getting my Navel pierced in a couple of weeks as well as a monroe. Will post pics!

Also on the runway, models with navel piercings only sport Barbells, I hardly see dangles..Is their a rule or what?

I think that some dangles look tacky although Adriana has an interesting ring that has a sort of upward arc with rhinestones...but the reason why models usually have barbells is probably because it clashes the least, it's less conspicuous.

Yea she's been sporting that one for years. Must be her favorite. ha

those are called top dangles I believe. Very cute. One similar to hers.
