i have both nose and septum atm but i dont have any other facial piercings, im quite girls so i dont think it could handle much more i recon the next thing to get done is my neck ^__^elegance, whats a philtrum? iv never heard of it before.also i think you should get your nostril pierced aswell because you can always wear a very small studd in it, although saying that now i have both i really want a bigger one!

your philtrum is the bit of your upper lip that dips, the piercing is also sometimes called a medusa.

its not that my nose would look crowded or anything like that i have quite a square shaped nose and a nostril piercing just doesnt look good, even my friends agree its quite a strange nose shape i really wanted a spetum ring and a nostril ring but im happy with just the one.

a rainbow sounds cool its so annoying trying to get perfect fitting jewellery or maybe its the lazy factor of changing proper bars etc. its not like you'd stick in a new pair every day like regular earings. ha i always have to guess gauges since i always forget to ask what they are luckily im quite good at guessing

to be honest i dont think you have to have delicate features or a striking face to pull off facial piercings it just has to fit and you have the confidence to pull it off. i mean my nose is the worst feature on my face its a strange shape and i really shouldnt have put more emphasis on it with my septum but it works so im happy i really wanted a nostril piercing too but because of its shape it would look so outta place but hey you cant have everything can you!?

you make me remember my first 'real' piercing and it was my nipple it was a birthday thing which is very random thinking about it now. i think im too old for piercings now in my mind but really when i think about it im not

In my left ear I have 2 captive bead rings in my helix and 4 lobe piercings forming a rainbow. The bottom is orangey-yellow, then peridot, then light blue, then the highest is amethyst. The captive beads rings have jewels that are like light blue/that color that's sorta clear but reflects a rainbow (god, i'm out of it). Oh, like opalescent. That wasn't so hard now was it?

In my right ear I have a captive bead ring in my tragus with a blue bead. Kinda out of place, but it was my first baby. In fact, I got it a few days before I met my real first baby (boyfriend). So I have a stud through my helix. And then the same 4 lobe piercings.

Then I have my tongue, VCH, and belly button. I have to pick piercings I can hide. I worked in a Republican office this past summer!

I've been planning for a while to get my nipple done, just one. But I'm in a foreign country and I don't know where to get it done. I haven't seen anywhere. Plus my boyfriend is visiting in a little over a month. So I'm planning for the day he leaves to ensure maximum healing time. He's not too keen on it, but he's like okay fine, if it makes you happy. But that's how he felt when I wanted my VCH (2nd serious piercing) and he really loves it now. I guess he thought it was just all a bunch of talk.

My face is just thin and long and I already have the hardest time in the world working with it. Thin, hollowed out cheekbones! Gross. And there is way too much surface area on my nose. It'd just get lost on there.

I've been thinking about the Princess Albertina for some time, but it will have to wait if I decide on it. Although I'm thinking December 2009 seems like it'd be a convenient time. Once I decide on one, nothing can stop me, mwuahaha! There's no turning back.

i supose facial piercings you have to be more comfortable with them and how they look because they're staring back at you everyday.

i hate the whole things i can hide because my job may or may not like them. its so based on looks its pretty annoying although theres alot of clear retainers out there i plan on getting one for my philtrum when its healed because i graduate in july and dont think the mothership will want the offical photos shes paying for with metal in my face shes very conservate and i made the decision to hide these things for her when i graduate.

if i had the guts to get something uh hum 'down there' i would but going legs akimbo infront of a stranger has always freaked me out and i supose i'd have to ask what would fit me down there since lets face it everyones built different and some of those piercings just dont work for some people (thank you BME).

and i highly recommend getting your nipple done i have mine with just a plain barbel and i think its so pretty.

Hi everyone, my nipple piercing is in the final stages of healing and I was looking for some ideas and websites for nipple jewelry.
I was thinking of a D-ring or the U (horse-shoe) type jewelry but the D ring scares me a bit cos the entry distance seems like a bead diameter am I gonna have to contort my poor boob to be able to get it in?

All tips and advice regarding jewelry is welcome. I currently have it pierced with a boring straight barbell and my nipple is more or less inverted even with the piercing there no real "knob".

I have not yet gotten that particular piercing, but I've ordered a few different things from piercingmart.com and I've gotten prompt deliveries and no problems. Also, I wait beyond the recommended time just to be sure before I change my jewellery.

Was your nipple inverted before you got it done or no? I'm curious because one of the reasons I want to get it a nipple piercing is to beautify my innie on the left.

jewellery usually comes in different guages and widths you'll have to get the right diameter ring for your piercing. if your not sure go back to your piercer and they should be happy enough to help you since they know best

i think she means the ring goes upwards when its healing, but then does it go back down after healing

like when i first had it done it was pierced fairly high and i liked it there, but then the past three days when cleaning it i have noticed it seems to have moved down in position, its definatly moved but im not sure whether my paranoia about it has made me think its moved more than it has
some people have said piercings just do this sometimes but i was wondering if any of you experienced it?

i think i just need to chill a bit and not get so worried. i woke up this morning with a massive bump on my nostril piercing, It's the last thing i need, last time i had this it took months to get rid of! i think im going to try camomile compresses on it and see if it gets any better..

^ Do you clean it regularly? Is it the result of excess touching or did it get caught on something in your sleep?

sometimes it happens when i get powder make up in it, sometimes its because of touching
its weird that it should happen now though after ive been doing sea salt soaks twice everyday due to my septum

Yes it was definitely inverted before.
If stimulated there's somewhat of a knob but not near what a "regular" nipple looks like even unaroused.

EleganceisRefusal you are right. I did get the jewelry gauge size & length information I'm just confused as to a good place to buy and wanted feedback as to what designs/styles ppl with the piercing liked.

i never bothered to change mine since im lazy when changing jewellery and dont think mine would look good with a ring in thats just personal perference for my body type though. one day i might get around to putting a colour bar in it though.

i have three in each ear lobe (first set when i was 4, second set when i was 12, third set about three months ago), and a traditional labret piercing (6 years old).

i've wanted my septum pierced for about a year now but my nostrils are very narrow and i have a feeling it wouldn't suit me. i just think they're so cute!
