Ponchos

quite a funny article deemrock...thx for posting!
how was japan?...

i agree with vintage princess... i liked them last spring, pretty much up until every sevens-wearing-sl*t got one and walked around like she was the sh*t just b/c she had a poncho.

Ohhh darn I feel silly...

Gawd thank God I wasn't that appealed to those... I think that anything that makes me look like a potato sack is not attractive at all

The only poncho's I don't mind are the real ones that are like hand made in south america and worn by people who appreciate that. for example, i have this friend who is very much like yay fairtrade and organic stuff and she has this latin american poncho which I think looks good on her but it's thick and woolen

If the trend beyotchs start wearing capelets, there will be hell to pay.

Great article, though.

It'll happen once it's over for fashionable people, just like ponchos.

nay

I can be demure and modest without wearing a tent.

I have a couple of vintage ponchos and capes, and while they are cute to look at in my closet, I have never worn them for the reasons of immense impracticality and shapelessness.

nay, everywhere i look there are at least 3 women/girls wearing a poncho, too much hype, nay nay nay

it's annoying 'cause me and my friend both went through this poncho phase a few years ago, and now they are literally everywhere, which is why i sort of hate the catwalk. Now all i can see is people walking down oxford street in these horrible, acrylicy-plasticy "ponchos" which look like doilies, and not in a good way.
