Prada F/W 10.11 by Steven Meisel

The karaoke is cheesy but I'm just happy Miranda's in.:innocent:

Should there not be two threads for this?

I guess first impressions aren't always correct, because my opinion is doing a 180 as we speak.

For starters the look of this campaign is totally wrong in color. It needed to be in black and white, period. On top of that some of the shots look as posed and planned as they were, which is fine I suppose, but it ruins the illusion that this campaign is telling you some kind of story.

^ yeah, it should have been b&w.

Menswear is so much better, it has a certain mood and looks more elegant, womenswear is a mess, poses and colors just don't work.

Okay, so I guess I do like this :woot:. Much appreciating seeing the images in colour too.
Miranda doesn't bother me, you can hardly recognize her. Quite like the setting and composition.

I don't dislike the women's campaign, I just I like it less than the men's, which I think is very strong (I suppose a large part of it is that the collection is better suited to black and white photography). Especially that shot of the whole cast, lounging around with the handbags and luggage. That's a great shot.

Angela should not have been the star. I these the ads are much too busy too. Not enough focus o the clothes.
Menswear ads are a lot better, especially with Sigrid in them.

One thing that has been bothering me lately about Prada Campaigns is the clothing selection. Where are the embellished black pieces?, the structured dresses?, Jac and Cat's dresses? And where is the Shoe shot? It feels incomplete clothing wise. All the goods are there and this is the result?

Boring, is pretty much the word for this  It's not that I don't like it. I just...don't care for it  Nothing spectacular, nothing exciting. And I really was expecting that. (After such a show full of surprises...)

Bad campang very boring, nothing new same style by Meisel Prada need change Meisel i think he no have great ideas to this brand much time i go

It all looks so... random. And messy. It's so hard to focus on anything.

i do have to say, it might be the first time in a while that i totally agree with Miuccia's selection of guys. all of them are totally cute.

I kind of like it, I like the singing.. but there're too many people in the shots, just too many.
Miranda isn't really playing huge role here and I like this fact. Angela is truly the star of this campaign, but she looks same in many shots.
Overall it's an OK campaign, not spectacular. Really wonder how they will look in print.

Angela looks completely dead singing...

That was my first thought, too. I was quite excited to have Angela in it, but they made her look really idiotic as a singer.

I'm actually not that amazed by this campaign, especially after last season's stellar shots. They're all right, though I'm happy for Miranda and Valerija, generally I like the menswear part more, too.

I absolutely love it. I love the sleepy, dreamy quality. You almost forget you are looking at ads until you see a nylon jacket or bag that takes you out of the fantasy. It's totally beautiful.

The menswear one is much better than the womenswear, this one is very boring & Kerr looks sad.

Aww I think they're cute! They're very romantic.

The eyewear shots are great, the mens campaign is great but the rest is aweful :o What's with the mic?!
