Prada Pre-Fall 2009

I love the first coat, but I'll have to see about the rest.

I can totally picture that hat on Sasha Pivovarova.

The shoes do look like Marni!

Besides the fur pieces, I really think the pieces are badly constructed. Especially the satin pieces.

And also, so far, I don't get the sense of "muccia" really. She has been really different every season, but you get the sense of her everytime. But not this, which is a little shocking.

I love how Miuccia Prada has the technics of changing the Prada's focus and at the same time to maintain the same elegance. This collections brings what i love the most about the Prada's dna.

I'm not sure why everyone is surprised by the whole PETA thing. She didn't say she would never use fur again, she said she was bored by it, and as we all know by now, boredom is what drives Prada to change her tune. PETA should have waited before proclaiming their love.

I really don't care about the ethical argument of fur, but I really don't like the idea of her using fur again. What set Prada out from the rest, in my opinion, was that Miuccia could produce a fall/winter collection where it was both luxurious and mature without having to use fur. I liked that. I just sort of find fur used in FW collections...a bit boring and...traditional?
