Prada S/S 11 Milan

Right out of an Almodovar movie....IDK how i feel, some of the stuff works....some stuff doesnt:rolleyes:

To me is like Miuccia is like.. trying to make uglier and uglier things every season.I only like a very very few things from this and it's ONLY because it kinda looks like Jil Sanders, the rest if not most of it it's ugly, horrible, pretentious, boring, chilidish, tacky, etc.I don't really like Prada. This collection was so not the exception, the shoes are so ugly imo and so are all the accesories.Huge no from me.
4/10.

i like this but was disappointed. she's usually ahead of the curve but these silhouettes have been done before and better. i love the cropped jackets and all the colors, the stripes were interesting but not ugly like the prints of monkeys and bananas  i actually liked the shoes, though some of it was basically the same as the mens show.

seeing this, i wish she made the mens show more interesting, now that was tame. this might have went too ugly but its ugly pretty, somehow it just works? although those skirts with the ruffles attached and at that length is hideous!

my first thought wasn't very positive. but after analizing the details there are many things I like about this collection: it's quite wearable if you withdraw the stylist's touch, colours and some of te prints are perfect for summer and shoes (as always) are it-items. However, although I'm a big fan a stripes, I admit that some of the combinations here and their mixture with some silhouttes aren't very flattering... at the same time I'm not very sure about the bananas&monkeys print... but I was also very skeptical with the cats print from a past collection and I ended up loving it.

All right, I guess I'm the only one who hates the soundtrack. The collection is deeply unappealing either, I expected more after the menswear show.

I've never been a big fan of Prada but this collection was really disappointing.. well, some of the clothing was quite nice and interesting actually..but those sneakers were too much for my taste.. Of course I only watched the live stream and haven't seen any photos either HQs yet.. and maybe after seeing the HQ photos I'll change my mind.. but at the moment I'm not really keen of this collection.

It's tres quintessential Prada, quirky sobriety and clean cold self-restraint.
I couldn't agree more, this is my favorite kind of Prada. I loved the silhouettes and prints because even with the prints, it seemed very minimal. Very 90's in the cuts (but what isn't 90's right now).

I also loved the runway, it reminds me of the super glossy runways from the early 00s and provided a great contrast with the austere, quirky clothing.

Prada menswear ss11 + fur scarves + banana prints + mexican hats + cuban music... It's too much for me .

I quite enjoyed it, it was something different for her, quite back to basics at the begining slowly getting into her prints towards the end, those furry things added quite a soft edge and the shoes were great...my only critisim is that, i saw most of this at the menswear show....

those triple stacked boat shoes (idk what they are called) were horrible during the men's show and are still horrible during the women's show. I did find those silver heels and the sunglasses super interesting. still thinking about the actual clothes lol

I watched it today live, and I was very excited
do not discuss models in this section, please***
I saw inspiration from mexico, and teddy boys
the first part w the sneakers was a huge NO for me, but that's miuccia being ugly again

I think the shoes are goona photographed to death!
typical prada,

I have to say I kinda liked it. I'm not over the moon, but it worked. I loved how the boxy, almost flapper silhouette met tango and South America. The colors and prints were pretty beautiful (yes, even those crazy banana/monkey prints were cool IMO). I guess this season is all about playing with proportion and doing it with the right colors. Colors that are either warm and bold or soft and light. So Prada is on trend this season and not beyond the trend. Like she was last season.
