Project Catwalk UK

I noticed that Project Runway will be holding auditions in London, so I do wonder what that means, if anything for Project Catwalk.

London? Are you sure?Does anyone know if this is true???

If so where can I get more info??:D

Well, I'm pretty sure I didn't make that up! Anyone else remember seeing London on the original list of cities for the end of March?

Anyhow, it's no longer listed on the bravotv.com website. So, um, nevermind, I guess.

And I am still reeling over the final three as well. Yes, admittedly Christopher's dress was misguided, but I really did think he was going to win the whole thing!

Kirsty won!!! :woot: I`m soooo happy for her! I was doing the show for her in the final episode  Sorry for the bad quality...

I always liked Kirsty. She was kinda one of the silent ones just steadily working her way through the briefs.

I'm still waiting to see the final episode. I've been downloading all the eps till now and having missed the last one I've been waiting for it to turn up on the torrent sites and nothing. Anyone know any places other than UKNova, Torrent Spy and Mininova that might have it? I'm so close to having the entire collection it sucks if I didn't have it now.

I missed the last episode which was crumby but to be honest, though I like Kirsty porbably second best, it was christopher whom i loved and it kinda deflated for me after his exit.

I'm really glad Kirsty won. After seeing all the collections, her's was in my opinion the most wearable and consistent.

Yeah, it all kinda went sour for me after Christopher left.

Just watched the finale and could not be more happy for Kirsty!
(Yes, it's now up on uknova! Rah!)

And I checked with my Project Runway obsessive friend, and London *was* originally listed as an audition city.

What does this mean? Who knows? Perhaps PC will be renewed for another series!

...i think Debi is very talented...but her clothes are just not very wearable...like couture pieces...

Just watched the final -so glad Kirsty won!

Like seemingly everyone, Christopher was my favourite, even though his streety aesthetic is very different to mine. He's obviously so talented and his designs were always very interesting and surprising. I was so upset when he left -and very, very p'ed off by that challenge. His dress was the worst, but seriously, how many designers actually design suitable 'dresses for Elizabeth Hurley'? She wears Versace, Dolce, and sometimes Gucci -who else? They had Giles Deacon as a guest judge -has he ever designed anything that Liz would wear? The scope for actual creativity was miniscule: floor length, plunging neckline, bright/girly colour, shimmery, floaty fabric, etc, were all givens, so in the end it was just about realising this in the most simple way possible (hence Matthew's win). Still, I'm sure Chris will be successful anyway, even without PC.

Kirsty was my second favourite the whole way through... I like her taste a lot, her pieces were always feminine but in an interesting way, and I think she's the most likeable of the bunch -not arrogant or nasty, but focused and confident (Matthew was sweet but irritatingly whingey). I really liked the colour palette of her final collection, and quite a few of the pieces.

Really didn't like Debi's collection -but then, I think she has taste issues. I never like what she wears, it's always very bitty and Pat-Field-in-a-70's-jumble-sale to me, and her collection was the same for me. I wouldn't say it was verging towards couture -it actually just looked cheap to me. (Still better than Julien McDonald though...)

Oh, and I don't know when it happened, but I've gone from hating Ben de Lisi at the beginning of the show to liking him now. It may just be that anyone seems relatively awesome if they're next to Julien McD... :innocent:

I'm so glad Kirsty won, her final collection was gorgeous! Will definitely be watching her career.

Agreed.

Debbies stuff was nice but she seemed very intent of getting the pattern cutting skills she had into her collection and making it obvious and sometimes you don't need that.

Matthews I did not like. It just seemed...bland.

Truth be told I didn't care too much who won after Christopher went out, but I'm quite happy with Kirsty winning. I think it was probably a just result. Kirsty's clothes were nice on the whole and she had a couple of stand-out pieces. Matthew's were just bland and Debi's were too much.

That said, I think the best pieces on the final show belonged to Debi. The first few that came down the runway looked very good; technically perfect and realistically wearable. If she had kept her whole collection along those lines I think she would have won. Unfortunately, she let her imagination take her too far and from about the 4th piece it was all just crazy. I guess I can understand the temptation to go nuts and make your first big show a real spectacle, but she should have reined herself in a bit. She's probably the most skilled of the final three, and if she didn't have to display that on every piece she probably would have walked away as the winner.

IMO^_^ , out of the last three, I wanted the blonde one to win (not sure of her name:doh: ).. I thought that her collection was very elegant and it looked good, not that the others didn't, but I preferred hers..^_^

I thought that it was a really good show, and a great opportunity for the budidng designers!:flower:

 .... wow... who wooda thunk it?

Sorry to disappoint you, but I'm not Christopher. He's far too modest to engage in such shameless self-promotion. However, I'm of the opinion that he should have as much publicity as possible, mainly because I like the idea of having a best mate who is a rich and famous.
