Project Runway
Back in 1999, after Will & Grace's successful first season, NBC thanked the show's stars with matching Porsches. So how did Bravo (which is owned by NBC Universal) reward Heidi Klum, 33, for turning Project Runway into a pop culture phenom this year? ''I got a nice smelly candle,'' says the supermodel host.
We forgot — Runway's on cable. But with season 3, the addictive reality show — in which aspiring designers create couture out of household accessories, recycled trash, and, eventually, fabric — hit its strut creatively and broke free of its cult-fave status. The October finale drew 5.4 million viewers, Bravo's biggest audience ever. ''Some people say, 'I'm sorry to tell you I've never seen the show,''' reports Runway's menschy mentor, Tim Gunn, 53. ''I say, 'Unless you're willing to get completely sucked in, don't'.''
Those pulled into the Runway vortex were treated to exceptionally talented heroes and villains, including the bad boy (neck-tattooed former addict Jeffrey Sebelia, 36), the lovable sweetheart (German party girl Uli Herzner, 35), the soft-spoken underdog (Michael Knight, 28), and the no-nonsense mom (architect Laura Bennett, 43, who falsely accused Sebelia of cheating). The finale brought titillating controversy as well, when Sebelia's daring collection won over Herzner's singularly wearable work. ''We're watching as fashion professionals, not as consumers,'' explains designer and blunt Runway judge Michael Kors, 47, who rated the collections with Klum and formidable Elle fashion director Nina Garcia, 38. ''What Uli does...is very marketable,'' adds Sebelia. ''But if greatness were a measure of number of sales, then Wal-Mart designers would be great. Uli will probably make more money than me.'' Herzner shrugs: ''Sometimes second is better than first.'' —Dave Karger

i also love robert and keith - though keith is super cocky, gotta say he's pretty talented. he kind of gives off a jude law vibe. :) robert is so adorable! thanks for posting the runway photos from last night - this will be an interesting season yet again.

p.s. i liked jay's new look (winner from the first season) - can't wait to see his collection this fall.
p.p.s. yes, malan seems so...off. his hair is so greased and his accent so...strange, i feel like i have to take a shower every time he comes on screen!

Can you guys believe it...we just only got Season 3 here and I didn't have time to watch it. Now they're doing a marathon run and I'm catching up. The very thing this I thought when I saw Keith was "Oh my God...Jude Law!" I loved his blue curtains dress

I'm not allowed to have my own opinion? If iI feel something is trashy garbage I'm going to say so. I don't have to like every damn thing or person I choose to gaze at.

No one said you had to like anything.

But there are right and wrong ways to express opinions.

What would the right way be, please enlighten me:rolleyes: . There will be peole who will say worse things then me. Don't get your feelings hurt because of my miniscule comment. Please remember that this fashion and the reviews are made up of a bunch of opinions.

The right way would be to say it politely. I realize that what you said really wasn't that bad, but it's comments like that that start all the bickering.

My feelings aren't hurt by what you said, I'm just trying to stop this quarrel before someone does get their feelings hurt. :D

I agree with you, Jeffery's collection is trashy.

Except for the green striped blazer.

FINALLY received the dress of Laura's that I won on Bravo's auction from her final challenge/ fashion show collection. I must say that the dress is in worse condition than I expected. The straps and hooks are all broken, there is NO zipper, and the only thing closing the dress is a large snap. Will definitely have to get it altered. This was NOT one of the dresses they had to make in 24 hours, it was one they had 2 months to do, and it was done by Laura, who supposedly has great craftmanship. I am glad to get the dress, just sort of sad in the state its in. Poor dress. :(

peppers, sorry to hear that the dress is in less than perfect condition. is the dress in that state just due to ppl fondling it? do you have pics of the dress? i would love to see it.
