Project Runway Season 3

i liked laura's and michaels the best. angela and vincent should have stayed out, there was a reason why they got once eliminated..
jeffrey's dress looked like the judges said, very gwen stefani. it would have been ok dress but not for cocktail party.
uli, well, the same thing over and over and over and over.
give us something new.
kayne's dress wasnt even that bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

about the Project Runway 3 Models.......Why do they look past 30? or pushing 40's ....................Why not pick fresh struggling fresh faced models from various agencies, instead of having us watch these old looking models???

I kinda like the look of Gemma Ward, Carolin Trentini, Heather Marks, Natasha Poly and Natalia Vodianova ---------Can PR go to that direction??? Please?
probably because young fresh-faced hot models don't need to do PR.
Plus, it doesn't pay that well and they have to give a serious time committment to it when they go on this show.

Jeffery's dress SO reminded me of Prada SS 06 with a Chanel edge.

Dahlin, There are tons of Young Fresh faced new comers out there, that would die to do PR because of good exposure since PR is a Hit!

What the? Let's bring back the two WORST designers of the whole show. The two that probably were smoking from the same bong (it would only have been even more interesting if it was Bradley).

And let's put the top five designers (who really deserved to be up there, MAYBE????) in danger, by pulling some lame ratings gimmick.

It was CLEAR to me from the start, though, that both Angela and Vincent would be going home AGAIN. And we all knew Kayne was going home...........because really (looking at some of his past designs)..........TICK TOCK.

On to the designs..............well.............Laura's was actually my favorite. But I swear if she gives birth on the runway.......................we'll know it's just for ratings.

Jefferey's looked JUST like this hooker I saw TODAY..........so it was like Deja Vu all over again for me.

I'm still rooting for my little German Bratwurst ULI to make it to the final three.

I will ask you to not call me dahlin please, PL.
Thanks.
Dior Couture, thanks for the comparison pix...its nice to see them all side-by-side like that.
And Ianastar, always love your observations

Are the final collections being shown tommorrow (at Fashion Week)? Are they usually posted on a certain website? I can't wait to see what they all do.

I think it will be interesting to see what Uli does (even though I dont think she will make the final 3... she'll still be showing). Wonder if it will consist of 12 different flowy halter dresses.

This is one observation I have not found on any board. And before I say this, I want to emphasize that I really have liked Laura from the get-go and since she is my age, I like the clothes she designs.

But what intrigued me iwas her major melt-down this week (I have been pregant four times so I know what hormones do to you and she has been tired and I understand that too). However, this was the first time she had been scolded on the runway. And she fell apart from the criticism.

I think back to people like Kayne, Robert, Jeffrey (very first challenge), Vincent, Angela, Bradley who were criticized numerous times and were left as the last two on the runway and still returned day-after-day.

I just wonder if she now knows how difficult it was for those designers to work and have confidence in themselves and not second-guess themselves after languishing on the runway. She had never been portrayed as very sympathetic until just recently. It is easy to be confident in your abilities when MK and NG and HK tell you "good job" week after week. It's another thing to come out there and keep swinging when judges question your taste.

Just some food for thought. Still love Laura and I loved the Bravo previews for next week. Showed how well they got along and I thought it showed a great deal of respect they all have for each other.

^Well said! :)

I have to say, though, I automatically thought that it was just Laura's hormones running a bit wild (Pregnancy, after all) when she broke down last night ^_^ Good to see that she finally won a challenge, though! It was sweet of her model to help her as well

None of the outfits impressed me this week. I was appalled that they brought Vincent & Angela back, freakin annoying producers. At least the right 4 made it through even though Jeffry's dress was just plain silly.

^^I think on paper in the planning stages, the concept was good. Bring back a designer who may have won early on but who got kicked off for one misstep. However, unfortunately, the two who won challenges were disliked a great deal by the other members remaining. If it had been a Robert or an Allison or a Bradley or even Bonnie, I think the other designers might have had a better time with it. But at this point, they may not have been well-received. Everyone is exhausted, the gold ring is in sight, and they all want it to be over.
This challenge, as well as the Mom challenge probably looked OK in the planning room, but it didn't pan out. I think as soon as the other designers saw what V and A were designing, they knew they were OK.

gettyimages has posted uli's and laura's fashion week shows, i dont want to post them incase some people dont want to see them yet

i think they deserve a separate thread - like PR3 Spring 2007 NYC thread just in case other people in here don't want to see them yet
