Project Runway Season 3

From the casting special, I hated Malan. But now I'm so angry that he's gone. Especially after hearing his thoughts after the elimination; it made me sad :(

BAH! they didn't do anything about the built up drama re: someone being kicked off for "inappropriate behavior!" should've known...

i was trying to find the design that won tonight - see if there's a photo of miss USA actually wearing it but i guess the show airs this weekend (makes sense - bravo and NBC all under the same umbrella so the project runway is a nice PR/segway to it) so we prob won't find it until then.

my fav quote from this episode: "she's a beauty queen, not a disco ball!"

Oh my god! As much as I hated Malan's dress, he had so much potential!
And I really sided with Angela between her and Vincent. Maybe they edited it to make the audience side with her, but I thought he was awful to her! To add to it, Vincent just kept complaining to the judges! He should have went home. I thought the dress was horrid, too, and wonder what the judges were thinking.

 i liked malan. his dress may not have been pageant-worthy, but it was a damn sight more designer and innovative than vincent's! i'm surprised he went home he was pretty talented compared to others

oooh. so sad to hear about malan. i'm on the west coast but i read about it on tim's take on bravotv.com. what is up with posting tim's take early? it's like that poll that they posted early in the show last week. spoilers alert! i'm getting disappointed with bravo!

anyhow, i was hoping malan would last long. he seems like a talented enough designer, not to mention an interesting person too.

Did Miss USA get on anyone elses nerves?:yuk:

No I sided with Vincent. I mean- I DID NOT like that dress...however ~ Angela, someone who acted like she had no imagination when it came to making a dress, and didn't even sketch anything, and asked Miss USA the dumbest questions - had NO RIGHT to talk about someone elses dress. If she'd actually has a vision - she may have been qualified as team leader and called the shots on her own damn dress. I mean - she was basically cheating when asking what kind of dress she wanted. You're on PR to go from what they give you.
Angela shouldv'e gone. Malan is irritating and odd...but I wanted to see what he could make.

And I really liked Keith's dress:heart:

.....Vincent put a tacky brooch on his gown in the most unoriginal way. How 2002 of him. Guarentee I could find that dress (minus the ugly sleeves) at Deb.

I'm very glad that Bravo didn't pull the :
"Text your vote for who should be in the bottom three!"
Because that was so stupid and such a spoiler. The "who's side are you on" was much better.

After the fact, I really was sad for Malan, he really deserved to be in it longer than Angela OR Vincint did. Vincint is a loose cannon, yes Angela was probably no help but Vincint really wouldn't let her help at all either. And the whole "sleeve" thing that was on the dress was repulsive. If it was a bow or something, it might be better but not a miniture sleeve. I did love the color though, it was good to see something not beige, brown, nude etc.

I also didn't get when Angela was like " I don't sketch, I just ask questions". Who says that to a client?! And she was asking alll the wrong questions! "How about an Empire waistline?!" "Nope" "How about gloves, I was thinking gloves?" "No, I don't think so" haha

I knew from the start who was going to win. Seeing Miss America walk out i was like YUP! haha and it was a beautiful, couture-ish looking dress.

What's everyones guesses for next weeks challenge? Working around an accessory?? Seems sketchy.

Angelas skirt tonight was freaking hideous.

Heidi looks super cute in the top she was wearing in next weeks preview. Very nice top!

I love to see what the designers and judges are wearing, I must have hit pause to capture an outfit at least 5 times tonight. Granted, 4/5 times was to see what Alison's top looked like or what kind of shoes she was wearing...

Me too! Next week looks to have some major Keith drama. I can't wait to see what happens!:woot:

But I thought that Kayne deserved to win because his dress was perfect for the occassion, it was still "pagenty" but it was totally original. It is really going to help his business now that he designed a dress for Miss USA. I also thought that he worked very well with Robert.

I really didn't care for Malan until this week. He acted very classy esp. at the elimination and the story about his mother was so sad. Just when I decided that I actually didn't mind him, he got eliminated.

I cannot stand Angela...she pulled the same thing that Wendy Pepper pulled first season with calling out the team leader on the runway. The mature thing would have been to work with Vincent to help to develop his design, even though Vincent is kind of a sp*z. The dress looked very JCPenny's prom to me, but the back was constructed rather nicely.

i found malan to be a lil "kookie" but i felt sorry for him tonight. i wanted to see him go far in this competition. i think angela should have gone...she didn't even make HALF of the dress. like, wtf?

I actually think Angela and Malan should have stayed. Vincent should have gone! I sided with Angela in their argument... he had her doing nothing and that dress was (i.m.o) not so pretty.
I think Malan is funny, i like his laugh and accent.

i love the pairings! thank you keith for picking bradley (i'm loving bradley even more)! my favorites- together! i'm also very happy with the robert-kayne pairing. however, the pairings may be too perfect/compatible because vincent and angela, probably two of the weakest in my opinion, did not work well together. i'm in the middle of the episode and that's what i'm thinking. i also think malan's quite sophisticated when he speaks. he seems very sensible. too bad he got cut out early in the competition. i thought he still deserves to be there.

I was sad to see Malan go, I was starting to like him and I actually liked his dress, other than the fact that they made the boobs look bigger. But i thought the colour was gorgeous and the dress had great potential. I definately think Vincent and Angela should have been in the bottom two, I don't care which one leaves, just send them both away! I don't want to see their faces anymore!
I was pleasantly surprised to see Vera Wang taking the place of Michael Kors, all though she didn't say much at least she doesn't look like William Shatner. I am glad she will be on next week too. Maybe they will finally get rid of MK.

I am in SHOCK about Malan, I was jogging on the treadmill in the gym screaming "NOOO!" at the TV, thankfully I was the only one. But seriously, wtf? They should've canned Angela like a tuna, she hasn't done anything, she's a lump...

Vincent actually made a very nice dress, if the boobs fit better and those shoulder deals were scaled back it could be GORGEOUS...Now I see it...

i was so sad to see malan go too. i thought he was a very nice person. i know his design in this challenge didn't come out so well but i think he just needed more time. he had the idea but didn't choose the best color for it. i thought and hoped for angela to be eliminated. she didn't do jack! it just sucks =(

i love keith's and bradley's dress! it was phenomenal. i love the combination of the color, the shape, the hair. all worked so harmoniously (though not very pageant-y) i'm very happy for kayne and robert. kayne deserved to win. must've felt good to be rewarded that way considering he's been doing it for a while. malan's and katherine's dress was a little too complicated but malan's such a class act. i can't say the same for the vincent-angela pairing. angela has, in my opinion, such a repulsive sense of style. i didn't like her dress in the last challenge and the ethics both of them lacked (although vincent's, i think, was a little more warranted). vera wang should've said more or bravo should've given her more air time. i find her quite interesting and i'm curious about what she really thought. i also just saw the preview of the next episode. i really hope bradley or keith won't go. jeffrey has the most interesting comments, "jonbenet," "feminazi," and "what if bradley goes home on his birthday?" i'm hoping bradley won't go. i'm hooked! :flower:

p.s.
am i the only one who thinks this episode is so far relatively one of the most emotional ones? i really feel for malan. quite a good man that one. i wish him well :(

I felt bad for him too, he's tried so hard to get on the show only to be "Auf'd" the second episode. He has totaly surpised me, I was expecting him to be very mischeivious, and given the chance he might have been. But of course he wasn't. I just wish they would get rid of Angela, I don't see any potential at all!
At least there is something else to talk about, now that another episode has gone by, other than the Keith Scandal. That subject is so tired out.
