Project Runway Season 3

On the Keith "scandal" I did feel like it was harsh for people to turn him in. But you have to remember it's a competition, and someone has a hand up on you. Wouldn't you do the same thing??? Maybe I'd go to Keith first, but I'd still tell the producers.

Whether he used them or not, is pointless. It's still against the rules. I mean it's like if you are competing in Tour de France and find out a rider is using steroids or something. Wouldn't you tell someone????

I am SOOOOO in love with Robert. I don't know why. So I was really upset by his outfit, it looked like total crap. That coat was some really weird 80s sportswear coat. Ugh.

Allll of the outfits were pretty bad. I can't believe that they could do so much and everyone was so boring with their designs really.

Jefferey and Allison did a great job of recovering from not having a team leader. But they were doing most of the work anyways even when Keith WAS still there. So whatever. I loved the pants, and the coat was just OKAY, but the weird upside down tank top dress thing?????

The only thing that saved Angela from herself was having Laura on her team. Laura brought a certain amount of class and sophiscation to Laura's tacky designs. Laura is very I.N.C., so I knew she would have some good input on it.

I kind of liked theirs, as it did seem to be very I.N.C.

is anyone else not impressed AT ALL with the models this season? They all seem like they are taking a modeling 101 class, and Angela's model lasr night walked like a clysedale. Andrea & Patrick's model was the only one so far who seems like she has some kind of clue about modeling.

And although Angela's outfit was nice, it looked like you would see it in the Jr.'s dept. next to the J.Lo collection, not in women's.

the models this season are very forgettables.......Did Janice Dickinson booked the good ones?

I liked Jefferey and Allison's design better than Angela's, but I think if they had won it could have been tricky polotics wise, since Keith was thier leader and then got kicked off for having pattern books. It could be agueed that he may have used them for this challenge. So this competition was really about who was the least bad, not who what the best.

I feel like Jeffrey and Allison are much more modern and in touch with fashion trends. They should have WON but heh.. lemme barrow a quote from Tommy Hilfiger's show, their outfit "was too fashionable"... >_>

Angela is killing me. Her stupid roses will do her in.

Harsh to turn Keith in? HA! That's laugh. People pity an arrogant person like Keith and not a humble, polite guy like Malan. :blink:I mean, think about the vitriol that was unleashed on Zulema when she by all rights and rules of the game took a model that walked well. Everyone was all over her for something she had every right to do, just because they "liked" Nick, but when Uli did the exact same thing last night ...well, that's ok.

Oh and when Keith goes against the actual, contractual rules of the show that he agreed to, in writing, after signing on a dotted line, people feel sorry for him?? Just goes to show that how one appears outwardly [Keith's appearance being considered "cute/handsome" versus Malan's considered "pervy and sly" or the color of their skin [zulema vs. uli] can engender feelings of support.:innocent:

What a boring scandal. I mean, if its in the rules, then fine, but it is still rather boring. I mean, instructional books? I don't think that makes much difference. You can give me an instruction book on how to replace the transmission on my car, but that doesn't mean that I'm going to be able to do it without the car exploding. Keith's attitude was annoying and arrogant, yes, but he still had talent that couldn't simply be gotten from an instructional book.

are you kidding?? they make a huge difference. These were patternmaking books so a person like keith would already know the basics and the books would help in lets say creating a pencil skirt if he had no idea how too. As far as Keith, I am not sad to see him go but I am sad to see his talent go(if that makes sense). He did break a number of rules not just the books and according to his own parting words he still "other tricks up his sleeve" the bottom line he cheated when probably didn't need too and that's the sad thing.

thank you. i don't think feeling sorry for someone is justified by a person's look ("cute/handsome", "pervy and sly", color of their skin), at least personally. that's a bit judgmental and overgeneralized. zulema was arrogant compared to uli so the context was different. saying that a person likes someone solely for their looks is arrogance in itself, no different from keith's. i do think he has talent and i agree with yellowstar09 that the sad part is to see his talent go. but it's done so there's no point in arguing.

Yes! Laura and Michael basically saved the whole outfit without them it would've been tacky craft work part II. So I guess Angela is the new cockroach like Wendy Pepper.
Totally agree. In fact I'm loving Michael even more now. He found the lining for the jacket. Why wasn't the model instructed to show it when walking the runway? I think he is very a creative thinker. I really liked his dress from the doggy challenge and that the fact that the dog was wearing the same in miniature. I like Laura very much also, but her conservativism may sink her. She has to get away from the jacket/suit look eventually or she will be a one note designer.

Good riddance to Keith that drug fueled, (coke, I'm convinced in his little trips away from the dorm/workroom) arrogant psychopath. Anyone who thinks that rules do not apply to him has a screw loose. If you don't like it, don't pay attention because it doesn't apply to you? Don't think so buddy. Even Vincent, who initially struck me as more than a little whacko, understands this better than anybody. He showed me how smart he is when he did his dog outfit and when he was asked to comment in last night's challenge. He basically kept his mouth shut and said nothing bad about Robert. BTW, so disappointed in Robert. What was he thinking? Barbie wouldn't be seen dead in that outfit!!!

As for Jeffrey and Allison, again I think the original idea with the jersey top was to show it as being a "convertible" to another style. The runway model did nothing to show this. I can see why INC would never produce this. The average buyer wouldn't have a clue what to do with it. The pants, however were fabulous. But, have to tell you that Michael Kors did the pant bottom in his Kors Micheal Kors line last year. I know because I own them! If he had been there, it would have been interesting to see if he picked up on it. I'm sure some nameless wonk must be designing that line.

I just hope she doesn't make it to the top 3 like Miss Pepper did!!!

^ ditto. although i'm not sure if i felt bad or happy for her because she seemed so excited having her outfit in macy's windows. heck she was elated when she found the fabric with laura and michael! i don't think she has enough talent deserving of a show in ny fashion week. what are we going to see? giant scruncchies passed of as skirts? the other remaining designers deserve to show more than her (except vincent, but that's a constant).

Yes...........Tim even mentioned that they knew Keith had sneaked off to use the computer, possibly for fashion related ideas/help/etc

eh why isn't vincent or angela gone yet?
I hate their designs and personalities

^ yes he did. i read tim's take and it gives a good perspective on what has happened. it wasn't as if it's the most villainous thing but it was wrong indeed. keith's arrogance always struck me as disguised insecurity. i didn't believe that it's his first time to do womenswear but he certainly wasn't as experienced as others. therefore, the way he made the dresses on the show showcased real talent in my opinion (not that it was better than others). his insecurity drove him to keep that patternmaking book and i think we had a glimpse of that yesterday when he was trying to make the team's garments. anyway, can't wait for the next episode so we can all move on from this.

I just love Michael:heart: ....
both his personality and designs. ( and he's a cutie! :p )
I was really surprised the judges didn't have more to say about his doggie challenge outfit. I thought the dress was very cool and constructed great.
I really hope he makes it to the end.

^ like i said, he is 100% underrated. Michael makes beautiful, classy, designs....i think he will fly under the radar and make it to the final 3 at least!!

That would be an interesting threesome. Michael and Bradley have something in common I think. They tend to look at stucture and design elements as opposed to just ornamentation. Alison is quite mature and organized in her thought process. I don't know if Bradley could stand the stress of the final show. Tho sometimes I think that this is his "normal."
