Project Runway Season 3

^ if that's the case, i say toss him back to the time where he allegedly belongs and off the show.

I think Laura gets up before anyone and does the whole thing. Hair, make-up etc.

I was watching this week's episode, and when they got out of bed early, (when Tim wakes them up) she's got on what looks like a mens dress shirt and black capri pants! Not like the kind you'd go to sleep in-the kind you wear as regular clothing. I thought that was odd. But I guess if I were being taped I wouldn't just hop out of bed in a tee and undies like usually do ;) .
Anyway, it looked posed, like she had dressed, then redone the shot with some clothes on...

I noticed that too, but I think she just slept in her clothes from the previous day because she's way too clean and pressed to be wearing the oxford she slept in out!

I loved when Allison (I think it was Allison?) made fun of her for wearing her riding outfit. It was something along the lines of, "good thing you've got the riding outfit on, just in case..."

'... it was a horse" or something alison said. i don't think she was making fun of laura but it made me giggle a bit. *laughs* i for one wouldn't want to see her (laura) in her undies. she's always presentable. i love the fact that she's so flat yet she flaunts it. i guess after a gazillion babies, her breasts are still the same as they were during puberty. i'm liking her.

yeah...I think Laura probably just slept in the outfit from the day before. I think they are often working late on stuff. I know when I went to art school we would always crash into bed with all our clothes and makeup on. I think I once even fell asleep with boots on. ha ha

I was talking about Project Runway yesterday at my hair salon (these women work on hair at all the NYC Runway shows and celebs etc...) while debating who should've got kicked off- two of the women getting haircuts confessed they worked on reality t.v. shows for years and thats how it works. I asked HOW what works? and she replied "that crazy Vincent guy works better for t.v.- that Allison chick was too quiet and not good for ratings." She said "believe me it's all edited to make the best entertainment, they aren't going to cut the queen from the south cause he makes good t.v." The other woman agreed and said she used to work on the stylist version of this show. She said that they manipulate the viewers with the edits. My boyfriends brother produces episodes for Survivor and he told me they have to make days of boring footage interesting.
I have to say the reason that I'm disappointed about Allison leaving is that she consistantly was making good clothing- she is a fine draper- she has the motivation and skills to be a real designer in the future...and she only messed up once (and I've made dresses from paper and it's hard) Vincent is crazy- obviously- - plus he is always in the bottom--and even if someone handed him the winning prize he'd have a breakdown and buy all the wrong fabric and sit around and make terrible clothes and put them out for the wrong season- (I still can't forget that basket case hat)
As for people saying Alison is being a sore loser I have to disagree.
She made clothes for over a year at this boutique in Echo PArk and she custom made clothes for all types of bodies and is a genuine woman's woman. I met her when she was creating clothes around 19 or 20 years old and she was gorgeous--but what I found appealing was her genuine honest spirit and curiosity for things. She was never a fake person, and seemed determined to be a success. If other women find that bitchy or a negative that makes me sad for the state of women. If a man speaks his mind he is strong but if a woman states the obvious or plots a career move she is callous. I read the same article and think she is mostly trying to tell people she still has plans in fashion. I've been interviewed by people for magazines and EVERYTIME they twist something and make you say something you never intended that way. So who knows how she said all that. She of course is probably bummed she got the axe over Vincent- (who wouldn't be-) but those Heidi comments about what kind of woman would make this for another woman--blah blah are ridiculous.
Sorry for how long I've made this
ditto all this for me too:blush:
I know you in life and yes, I remember you have been quoted wrongly and things said in jest or to be silly/snarky written down can take on a heavy-handed pretentious vibe once edited and reworked.
Also, like you, I know Alison in life and was similarly impressed with her confidence and talent and never ever would peg her a bad person or a mean person and at the end of the day, she does have her talent.
Yes, she screwed up by not reworking it to fit her model who was larger and she paid the price by getting booted.
She kept quiet on the show b/c she was focused not b/c she wanted to be perceived and edited like "snow white" and now the show is over, she has personal opinions same as Kayne, Robert, Jeff, Laura, Angela, Uli, etc. the whole bunch of them have been talking all along so somehow its just evil b/c she is doing it and it shows she isn't perfect and flawless...?
I am not worried for her though...she has her talent and people who know her know she is genuine and solid.
I think it speaks volumes that Tim, Dan V. and even one of the models Amanda have come forward and spoken in her stead. I didn't see that done for anyone else at this point in the game and they all were there and know what went on for real( exception of Dan).

On another note, I am pretty sure it will be Martha as I read she has a deal with Macy's now.

Sorry to burst your bubble:lol: At 42, I think she is past the crashing into bed with the clothes on. Definitely washes the face and brushes the teeth no matter what^_^ She strikes me as the one who gets up the earliest every morning, starts the coffee and then gets into the shower before the other girls. Given all those kids and a household to run, she is organized to a fault. Re the carpenter's dream chest, my sister-in-law is just as flat as Laura after 3 kids and nursing them!!! It can happen, tho pretty rare. Usually mother nature lets you keep a little extra after a baby. Oh well...

I was so impressed at how Alison worked on Keith's jersey top for the Macy's challenge. I'm not really a person who sews, but I have an idea that jersey is not so easy to work. I really thought she would last to the end. She will do really well and as she said, the exposure of the show will really work to the good for her.

Yes, clearly the 60s were VERY good to him...........if you know what I mean.;)

I know that Alison will do well in the future.

and I agree.............with P. Peach (is that as in Princess Peach?????) that Uli should have won.

It's Martha Stewart for next week? I was hoping they would be dressing up Alison. LOL.

Designers at Mood (from Alison's EW interview):

Now that you're out, who's going to make it to the top two?
I'd have wanted to see either me or Jeffrey in the end, so Jeffrey. And no one else really blew me away, honestly.
Are you in touch with the other designers still?
Yeah, Malan and Keith. I saw Laura at Mood the other day.
Really? Does that mean she's working on her final collection?
Who knows? I was there too.
Well, maybe you were there because you were allowed back on the show and you are also now working on your final collection. Or maybe I've just lost it.
Don't worry: Getting back on the show comes into my dreams all the time.

Are you saying the reason they keep him around is because he designs as if he's in a time warp? Like he was frozen somewhere since the mid-Eighties and just came back?
Hahaha now that you mention it.... doesn't it kind of seem like Vincent hasn't even LOOKED at a fashion magazine since, say, 1987? He doesn't even acknowledge that his fashion is 80's oriented, does he? It's like after the mid-late eighties, he just took a humongous amount of drugs, was stoned for 20 years, then woke up one morning and was like, "I have a great idea for a dress! Let me go make some sketches! Wait... where's all my money? 401(k), huh-- doesn't sound important, money's probably better spent on making something cooky out of fabric! Project Runway, eh?"

I just don't understand him. :/

Me neither. Can't believe he got away with the outerspace hat during the first challenge and Bradley didn't even get away with the space top. LOL. Now Alison's gone too and he's still there?!?!?!?!

I know Alison was trying to be different by doing a different hairstyle.. because it kind of worked for her in the dog challenge... but NOTHING about the recycled materials outfit screamed that it absolutely NEEDED that terrible bow hair-do.

Maybe if Allison's styling wasn't so bad, she wouldn't have been picked on so much.

AND WHY DID HEIDI PRAISE VINCENT FOR TRYING TO BE CREATIVE!?!

I'm sorry, but a child could've come up with that idea... a friggin' paper sheath dress with paper thrown onto it. How is that creative? And why did he have to wrack his brain for that terrible idea?... isn't that like, the first one that woudl pop into your head when you'd be presented with the idea of making a dress out of trash?

"Just throw it on and hope it looks nice..."

I haven't been impressed wtih anything he's created... and Angela is also not one of my favorites... Ugh.. Alison deserved to stay until Vincent and Angela are kicked out... AT THE VERY LEAST!

Just read the interview and I don't get why people are getting turned off. Alison was merely stating facts; if her model was a size 8/10, that is a fact, not an insult.

^ definitely. she was speaking relatively. i still like her and i wish her the best. if she was as arrogant, i think she wouldn't say she still dreams of going back to the show. and if she was bitter, i think it's warranted but that's not the case.

just finished watching this episode. stupid judges!! i remember last week they kept Robert because the judges believed in his talent(Robert was in the bottom 2 for the past two weeks)... but how come the judges didn't believe in Allison's talent?? she's done so well in the past. i really like her design. i don't see anything wrong with it. it's 1000 times cutter than Minnie Mouse :meow: the outfit's adorable!! i hate Angela's and Vincent's outfits. Angela's was like a hi-may-i-take-your-order-please-i'm-your-stripping-waitress outfit. :yuk: as for Vincent's outfit, Picasso is so jumping out of his coffin right now and slapping Vincent in the face.

oh i love Tim's take, especially his comment on Kayne's outfit:
"it looked like it was going to Pattycake’s birthday party at Angela’s art camp. Oh my. Maybe we should inaugurate a Jubilee Jumbles award?"

   they do seem to relatively have the same level of taste.

I finally remembered what Angela's dress reminded me of...the old Jiffy Pop popcorn foil packages.
