i hope Uli wins! her personality isn't as harsh as lauras' and jefferys' and i like her better than michael. besides, collectively i like her collection the most. jeffery had some nice pieces (especially the striped green blazer outfit) but his collection as a whole wasn't as appealing. on another note, the models were indeed distracting from the clothing! this is not to be mean but i guess it was so different from looking at high end runways this entire month! cheers!
 
Now I'm not sure if im for or against Jeffery. I didnt really like him when he was being an *** during most of the challenges, but he really does produce unique stuff. Plus, last night it made him seem like he cleaned up his act and was really a family man. I don't know about his cheating..but I do feel he had a good advantage with his work space. You figure that Laura was working with her 5 sons running around everywhere and Michael practically waited a month before he started.
 
Jeffrey's collection is UGLY. Puhhlease.

I hope he can't compete just so that I'm assured it'll between Uli or Laura.
 
I don't think Jeffrey cheated. Like others pointed out, he has a workspace with professional machines that may explain the clean finishing and stitching that Laura noticed. A workspace separate from home can do wonders with one's productivity because there are less distractions. Laura, five kids and pregnant? Five minutes with the kids here and there can add up. Plus Laura did a lot of intricate beading. Jeffrey had none, I believe. Laura also had to create five new pieces from when Tim Gunn visited her while it appeared that Jeffrey was almost done. I think Jeffrey was more hurt than angry that anybody would think that he cheated. He's looking to redeem himself from his past and now this. Can't the guy get a break? He has also shown to be efficient and productive during the challenges. I don't recall exactly what episode it was that he had three pieces all done while the others were still slugging away.

Anyhow, looks like the previews are misleading. I'm thinking Jeffrey cries for joy because he's still in. But when Tim said "Unfortunately...", that probably meant that one of his pieces would have to be disqualified, like the shorts that he sent out for pleating (I don't recall seeing that from his runway collection). Therefore, Jeffrey would have to replace that piece requiring him to produce another one within three days of fashion week.

So in the end, everybody's happy right? I just hope that this doesn't taint Jeffrey's chances of winning. An *** he may be, but the guy has definitely shown some talent.

^good points, shop. it's funny that ppl that don't like jeffrey... don't want him to be in the competition because they are afraid that he'll win. he's talented and has a perspective. his style is a matter of taste. personally, i love it. i also liked uli's line, but michael and laura... not my cup of tea.
 
^^ I agree. I think it was entirely possible that Jeffrey made them all himself.
And the point you made about maybe the pleated shorts being disqualified made alot of sense. And I think the crying was from intense relief.

I might not like Jeffrey all that much, but I really like his collection.
 
Jeffrey's collection UGLY? WTF? To each his own, I guess, because to me his collection looks great even on the freakin hangers. I'll be crushed if he's out of the competition because I really like him even though he does come off as an a$$ sometimes. Wow, Laura is a staunch competitor! Uli, well, she's just a sweetheart and I think she'll succeed no matter what place she takes in the competition. As for Michael, well, he wants to be successful and win or lose I think he will be because he definitely has vision and drive.

Know what I was thinkin about today? Can someone tell me how Vincent's using his own pants to create a pattern for the jetsetter challenge isn't like Keith's having pattern books? Ugh, I think Vincent is an icky icky man... I am so glad he finally "got off" the show. Him being gone really "turns me on" :lol"
 
I just saw the episode and from Jeffrey's crying, im guessing he got kicked off.

Please...Uli will definitely not win. The only thing she's ever done and can do is prints.

Considering her OFW collection featured several pieces that weren't prints, I'd say you're wrong.
 
I would love Michael to win, if only for his sweet disposition :crush:

I think that Laura may get it, though... when push comes to shove, she's a serious designer.
 
Ok...is it just me or did Laura's green coat that Tim really disliked look EXACTLY like a Galliano creation?
 
I don't think Laura is nice either,she's just really rude most times. I liked MALAN so much! I bet Micheal will win..
 
I don't really care about the personality of any of the contestants, but I think Jeffery has the best clothes, so I hope he wins. At the same time I really think the judges like Uli, so if she's not the plant (is there even a plant?) I think she will win. :ninja:
 
I think that all of the ones showing made it; there is a top 4 this year, I believe. :flower:

Michale's collection was just not that good. Jeffrey's was, not to mentions he's so cool. UIli is a judge fave, but she's so DVF like to me (casual clothes with lots of prints) which is good only some of the time. I love how classy Laura's stuff always is, but I wish Malan had won. I love that guy!
 
on a scale from 1-10

Laura's - 9
michael - 8.5
Uli - 5 (the whole coll. was giving me JLo in that green Versace dress)
Jeffrey - 8 (nice cuts, bad fabric choices)

Does anyone have a link to Malans collection I hear he showed in N.Y.???
