Puffer jackets

What are your opinions on puffer jackets? Do you think that they are back in?


I quite like the ones that Y-3 did a little while ago, the silver puffer with black waistband. I like puffers, they are so warm and so comfortable and they look quite cute with skinny jeans.

mmmm..i think they are cute in a decidedly tacky kind of way.didn't Chloe Sevigny model for a 70's-revitalized brand that makes puffy jackets, designed by Nora for Project Runway? cant remember the name right now....

I think they could work with a skinny jean, too. Juicy actually had some great ones a couple of seasons ago; I picked one up in a dark orange shade and while it's difficult to pull off without looking like a pumpkin, I love it.

I live in Canada, it's a cold place, every winter a puff jacket is essential for everyone, so over here, puff jackets are more of a classic than trend.

I think they can be chic (utilitarian too, especilly if they're made by Moncler)...

its a necessity to have a long parka for new york winters/blizzards and it can be cute and cozzy and super warm all at the same time if you get the right materials and a flattering fit, very chic snowbunny, i plan on getting a black hooded military style to wear with black patent leather snowboots, i did pale colors last year but city snow gets gross quick and is too dirty for that, first time i've been excited about snowstorms now that i have an ensemble in mind, and i saw a cute short jacket that was military style with a fuzzy trim on the collar and cuffs really cute but not practical for super cold weather

On a more banal note, has anyone seen a nice mid- or low- range dark brown puffer jacket that's longer than waist length and has a little shape and reflectivity or subtle shimmer to it?

I think some of the examples are not so bad... but they are sometimes too bulky/puffy for my taste They've always been popular here because they're very warm, but I don't think it's flattering for myself. Anyway it's really just the same as a 'quilted jacket' only bigger and there are some nice quilted jackets out there too

It's probably because I live in a country where you have to dress warmly for winter, that I am not surprised to see this a lot. I don't like the look very much, probably for the same reason ; I have seen bad versions of this the whole of my life.

I did see this done very sophisticatedly today, but I would never want to attempt this myself. I would just feel like a Michelin man.
