I think it's safe to say now that all the future appointments will be as strange and unexpected as this, just like Céline, Dior and Lanvin turned out to be. Any rumours we hear can be dismissed right away, as they no longer seem to be based on any truth.

Truly disappointed with this (again). What is wrong with brands these days? Riccardo was supposed to go to Versace, and Phoebe and Kim to take over Burberry. These pairings would have been perfect! I guess now the trend is that brands want people who will turn around the whole thing.

Ha! When you look at Christoper's creative trajectory at Burberry, he only really had complete liberty once he proved himself at the house e.g. made them tons of money. The UK is still the brand's major sphere of turnover and Bailey's sales took a bit of a dive towards the close of 2017. Tisci will have to pull out all the stunts, of which I'm not sure he's got much that will actually translate into sales.
