I know.It is cliche to say but the chessboard presentation was probably one of the biggest reasons I came to love and work in the fashion industry. I saw it on the Style channel when they showed fashion shows late night and was blown away.

Even if it can sound as a cliché indeed, it was just impossible to stay immune to his work and what seemed to be a philosophy behind it, every time I saw him on Fashion File, I couldn't help but feel so inspired and motivated by his words, he seemed to be the kind of person that just followed his heart with such sincerity and found his perfect outlet to unleash all his creativity and beliefs.. and passion, I hope that, even though the decision expresses unhappiness, in some way he realised how rich and inspirational it was the life he led for as long as he did.
It really breaks my heart to think this can't be undone, that he'll never see how things do get better and that the void he left will hardly ever be filled.. but, maybe he gave everything he could, and he knew it, and we have no choice but to be grateful for all the moments and lessons of creativity and integrity in an industry that feels more and more fickle every season.
One of my favorite pictures of The Danced of the Twisted Bull collection.
