Rodarte for Target

^ me too. i think target doesnt comission designers to do more winter items because it might not sell well in the southern states where its warm all the time.

Thanks lucy92! :flower:

I just thought since the collections look so awful on the models I would chime in.

is that you in the pic, 1%world?

if so, you look great!

if you check completed auctions on ebay, prices have cooled considerably. i think the ebay vultures are doing people a favor sometimes.

well we get cold enough for coats too  i think it's mostly because since these endeavours are limited to one stint, they probably just figure make it transitional,season-to-season. or seasonless rather. most of the lines i've seen can actually be worn in any season really.

I think dresses are a safe choice, I think it's easier to make a dress that appeals to loads of people than a winter coat.. :innocent:

The coats Erin Fetherston did for GO were lovely. I really would have gotten the cocoon coat if it had come in another color besides white.

^Agreed. The Erin Fetherston collection is pretty much the only GO collection (at least as long as I've been paying attention) to seem truly winter to me. Was that one released in February or sometime around them? Maybe I'm only saying that because of all the heart motif.

Thank you lucy92! That floral dress is darling.

and it's also funny that you should say this because I live in GA, and I am in DESPERATE need of winter clothes. XD that's one of the reasons why I bought the long sleeved tee.

you all look great in your mod pics!

i wish it was more "wintery" as well.. i loved the erin fetherston collection!!!

i think that was late october or november. i remember because i had bought something from the little that was remaining for my sister for x-mas.

I've gone to several Targets in the Los Angeles area. Each seems to have different things and various amounts of stock.
However, NONE OF THEM had any of the belts or stockings. So frustrating. Tried to get them online and they said "only in stores"...UGH.

I agree, the only Go collection that had winter stuff I can think of Erin Fetherson, where there was two coats, long sleeves, and cardigans.

I received the blue swiss dot dress today! I absolutely adore it. The little button at the top is a pain and it is quite dressy but all the same, I think I can work it in to my dark wardrobe! I also snuck the striped shirt into my order. The small is a little big for me (I'm usually an XS), but it's comfy. All in all, I'm very happy with my order. ^_^

After a trip to 3 Targets tonight, I found a store that had the accessories. I didn't know the socks came in 2 colors. I picked up several pair of socks, a pair of tights, and the leopard print belt. I think the socks have to be my favorite Rodarte purchase (and I bought a lot).

Like every Go Line, I don't think much of the stuff looks impressive on the hanger. You have to try it on to see if it works. The only things I'm indecisive about is the crepe lace dress (because of the static) and the skirt in mustard (oxford tan) because I don't know how much use I'll get out of either.

I wore my mustard lace cardigan today!
I love it, it's such a great layering piece.

Finally, someone that actually got to see the leopard belt in person! Do you think it is worth getting/searching high and low for?

I really like the belt. I got the black and grey one. I like that it has an adjustable clip along the belt so you can make it as long or narrow as you need it. The belt completes all the Rodarte dresses.

You really need to look at the one that you are actually buying. If you are going to look on eBay, you need to ask for an actual picture and not one a seller might use over and over again. The store I went to had 2 leopard belts and on one of the belts, the center section of the bow was just as wide as the bow. The one black belt I saw had a pulled thread and it was pretty obvious. The leopard print would do a better job of disguising flaws. I don't think any stores have the leopard belt in black and yellow.

The store locator feature on the Target site is pretty useless, too. The first store I went to said that the accessories were available but I didn't see them, the associates didn't know what I was talking about, and when they asked the dept. manager, he said that they didn't receive any accessories. I bet they were all in some box in the back that no one opened yet.

sungelly87, I love how you styled the cardigan!

My aunt finally received the dresses I ordered, and I can't wait till she ships them to me!

Where did they have the accessories displayed at the Target you went to and found the belt/stockings? I've been to four and NONE have had any of the accessories anywhere! I live in Los Angeles.

I got the ribcage dress. Love it. Its very flattering on, espcially with curves. I thought it would hang lifelessly like on the model but its actually pretty hot. I got the lace halter as well. Its a really quality piece. I liked the swiss dot blue dress but didn't want to go overboard.

Which Target in the Chicago-land area carried the collection? I live in the suburbs and haven't had any luck finding them in Target stores! :/
