Nothing else to do but laugh at the board. They really thought people were going to gucci for “quiet luxury”?? It’s always been a gaudy, over the top, tasteless brand, why would we suddenly want dour coats from them? the snake part is the cherry on top. They truly don’t understand their customersWell, I guess the board got their wish and Gucci is now in the “right direction” I wonder how they’re liking the numbers.
I passed by some of the stores during the weekend and staff told me the design team’s monogram pieces have been selling more and the Ancora stuff look too plain and priced too high usually get shipped off.
Also mentioned Chinese New Year customers were looking for the old “Kingsnake” or bright red clothes but Gucci got rid of them and used a generic small pink and blue snake on grey and navy clothes instead. The snake rings in their jewelry line are also gone. Kingsnake is owned by Gucci and not Alessandro. Missed opportunity if you asked me.
