hi to everyone (first post),

for a view weeks i was discovered from a scout/photographer called olivier schwartz in the métro (paris). i did two shootings with him. he said to me that he wants to send the best ones to the big agencies in paris "success" and "next" for instance.
what i want from u is if u can tell me some tricks/things that are good to know in the beginning. and what do i can expect to get paid as a "rookie".
another thing is that he might want me for journal called "édito de mode" - does anyone know something about that.

I'm baaaack! Ok, overall this meeting went better than the last one I had with the other agency. I met with Corey from Next, who took many pictures of me inside and outside on the balcony. I found it amusing trying to take pictures with my hair blowing into my face and my eyes watering haha. I think I came out all glassy-eyed ^-^ Hey, maybe they will turn out well and add emphasis to my big brown eyes When we were done, I told him that I did bring a bathing suit (I think he forgot that he asked me to bring one) and so there were more pictures taken. I think this is a good sign because he could've just said that the others were enough if I was doing poorly. I think it went really well. My dad went with me, he started talking about how I'm Romanian, and then he brought up Irina Lazareanu and said we have things in common... I just stared at him incredulously because I didn't think that my dad was into the fashion industry at all haha. Anyways, Corey has to send the pictures to Toronto so nothing will happen unless they turned out well. Here's hoping that I'm photogenic enough because he did say I was pretty in person before taking the pictures. Ok, I'll shut up now because this post is long enough as it is. Now I must wait (ARGH again!) until Monday/Tuesday for Toronto's response. *whimper*

Im in need of an advice here
Theres this open call casting/model auditions here in Montreal next week and im wondering if its a reallly good opportunity for me to get notice??? I am 20 years old but i still think that i can have a small chance somwhere hehe..Anyways..They said MANY agencies will be there such as NYC agencies and other great names.
What do you guys think??? And what usually happens during these auditions???

Two questions to ask yourself...is there money involved?...if it's a lot ...forget it. If it's a small fee to get your foot in the door ...go for it. Other question... can I compare myself in a positive way with the models on the top agency sites? Because that's what it takes to get noticed,get signed and have any chance of sticking around. The competition in the modeling industry is fierce.

Oh, I am so excited! Today Brandy from Vision Model Management in New York emailed me and asked for more pics...this shows she's interested right? And now I just got an email from the photographer who "discovered" me and her other photographer friend Hilary wants to work with me! Her site is www.hilarywalsh.com..... waholoooo!

i had a similar thing happen to me with a photographer just a few days ago and an agency about a month ago. if the parents say yes, -which i'm working on- then i'm doing it. the funny thing is i've always thought i'm a bit weird looking..pretty, but weird looking. i guess that's a good thing in the fashion industry. i'm a funny mix of ukranian and brazilian. i also got teased when i was little for being skinny because that's just how i am..beyond skinny but there's nothing i can do about it no matter how much i eat, and it's funny because it pays off now to be like that.

That's fantastic! Hilary Walsh has worked with a lot of topmodels, ironically Anett Griffel whose mouth is similar to yours is one of them. I'm happy for you.
