So You Want to Become a Model? (PLEASE READ POST #1 BEFORE POSTING)

Yeah, but maybe the other lady will really like me. I wasn't shut out completely. I hate having to wait another week for their response though.

i think tyra banks is a dd.... and i am pretty sure the playboy girls are d+.... a d-cup is more like heidi klum(except she no longer works) can anyone think f someone her size that works?

Heidi Klum doesn't work? I just saw her in both a victorias secret commercial and in a lens crafters add Today.

^ The majority of models who are with IMG are the ones who already had previously modelling expierence with a top model agency and changed to IMG. One of my friends is with them now after modelling for Storm since she was 12 years old and joined IMG when she was 18 years old. Only the very few can get through brand new, but I don't know what they look for. Also did you send all round full length photos of yourself in a bikini because model agencies need to see that.

Good Luck
xx

True True. Lily Cole didn't sign with IMG until she was already a massive sensation in Europe.

i've had a thing with storm before they're really cool people its meant to be the best agency in london but they send you to castings for everything

other good london agencies are select, models1, FM (mostly for men), premier

I found this site supermodelscouts.com. They post your comp card and it gives a list of agencies they're associated with. But you have to pay money to see the agencies that are interested in you ,so I'm thinking it's a scam. Right?

^If the agencies are really interested in you they'll contact you themselves. :) No need to pay!

i measured my height last night and i'm 173 cm
i always thought i was 175 cm..but i didn't take my shoes off
is 173 cm still okay to model?

^i'd say so..how old are you?
i'm about 173.5/174 and i'm almost 14 and still growing and thats ok

hey what ever happened with your interview with ford?

^ it was with elite actually but it wasnt really an interview... more like an open call kind of thing but i accidently showed up on the wrong day

havent heard from any other agencies yet...i was told august is a weird modeling month and i sent pics to a friend in the industry who was confused why no one had contacted me yet cause they thought the pics were great...oh well, i'll try again next year :)

^Then it all depends on your growth pattern. I'm 15 and only 5'8, but my parents are 5'10.5 and 6'6, and doctors think that I still have a good chance of getting to 6' when I'm, like, twenty! If you have tall parents or you have a growth pattern more like boys (ie, get your height later rather than sooner) you still have a chance at getting taller.

whne i was 15, i was about ur height kharma...and now i am jsu tunder 6ft..although my parents are not that tall....

my brother is 180 cm (we are twins)..but boys always are taller
my parents are tall

^ lucky, my parents are short... my mum is about 5' 6'' and my dad is only 5' 10''

That isn't short :p The average in the US is only 5'4" for women, and 5'9" for men.

I want to model more than ever now..i don't really know how to go about it though. An agency wants to set up a meeting with me but they aren't actually based in New York so I don't know if I should go or try and find some place in New York.
