I really think its important to tell them what you want. Like if you dont want to ever die your hair for photoshoots or you dont want indesent exposure i think you should have the right to tell them from the start. Dont feel pressured into doing things just because an agency says so

It is much more about leg length that height, actually. I have a friend that is 5'9.5, I am 5'7/5'7.5 and my legs are longer than her's! B)

Yeah, people say I have pretty longs legs, but still there's the face part... not to sure about that part of it.

Yeah, like people I know say I'm pretty, but I don't think I look that interesting- - I don't have great bone structure and I'm not too exotic. Once I get my braces off I might give this a shot, but who knows?

Im new to the board and I havent gotten a chance to go through all of these pages but I wanted to know more about modeling for males. Im from Philadelphia so its not that hard for me to get to New York.

I think I have asked this before, but didn't get much feedback....I was wondering about the legit agencies in Houston, TX. I've been scouted a few times before, but never went with it because i felt they were so shady.

I was considered a 'petite model' which seems about right, considering i'm 5'4. What kind of jobs does a 'petite model' have going for her?! Just print and commercial stuff?!

Input would be greatly appreciated...thanks

What is it that you want to know? I am an aspiring male model myself, and this post has helped me a lot with figuring things out. First, I would just tell you to read the pages of this post, if you are serious about it.

Hi another newbie here!..
ive been scammed before by a bogus online agency grrr.
..but anyway that aside im 5'11 - 6ft and i know that once i finish uni ill be trying my best to get some modelling jobs.The only prob i have is im worried about my skin.Ill post a picture here soon.Its not bad at all anymore but from when i was a kid i had the dreaded acne and now am left with light blemishes..grr ...
can anyone make me feel a litttttle lickle bit better about trying to send my pictures away in the future ( without makeup ) lol!

If you visit a dermatologist, they'll give you some medication andyour skin will probably be fine. Good luck!

One question I had was about tattoo's for male models I know Tyson Beckford has alot and I have a few and I know he's already like a Top model but for someone like me with alot would that be a huge problem or would that be considered edgy.

Thanks for the info. I also wanted to know about waist size for male models. Because I wanted to know if a 34 to big because I read a few pages back that said a size 30/32 was acceptable for men.

34 is a bit large, the largest I have seen is 33 but most are usually either a 30 or 32.

yeah, that's about right. my waist size is 30. I was told that that was a good size, you want to able to fit the clothes.

Someone said there are models that are 5'8 that get more work than their 5'10 counterparts. Yes... 5'8, not 5'6. 5'6 is just plain too short. And at 17 the chances of growing three (even two) inches are incredibly low. Most girls stop growing at 16, anyway. You should try photography in the industry or something.

When i was 16 i was 5'6. Last year i was 5'8 and now im 5'9. But i guess i have been really sick on and off for the last year and have spent the majority of my time in bed sick and growing. I think im still growing taller and im 21.
