Some of the swimwear featured here is unintentionally hilarious:rofl: They could have cut at least half of these edits; there are far too many fillers and only few real bombshells. The line between sensual and cheap is incredibly thin when it comes to SI - poor Hailey Clauson hasn't turned out to well here for example (and I usually like her work)! Could do without some of the obvious Instagram casts (cough*Alexis Ren*cough) but there are a few good shoots, like Bianca Balti.

Man these guys have really stopped give a **** about location and photography. Remember Ana Beatriz Barros shot in Wyoming by Walter Chin for the 2004 edition. This looks so cheap in comparison.

The photos in Aruba look good, the landscape looks more varied. the ones in Bahamas and the other places all look the same. Cheap, dull and repetitive. And how could they have used Bianca again and not given her a cover? She's the only real super model in the bunch. Still bitter Anne V. never got a cover haha.

Can't believe how Playmate most of thee girls look, especially Ashley Graham's. Happy for Ebonee, this is a big job for her, but not impressed with the poses. But Kate's is the best of the lot, the rest all blend into one generic sun/sea/sex aesthetic which gets old fast. Also, not one Asian woman made the cut?

I'm amazed that Ashley can't see the irony of her predicament. It's fine if she gets objectified because at least it furthers body positivity?? Ok.

Back in the day, the SI Swimsuit Issue was a way for supermodels to advertise themselves to a more general audience outside of the fashion world.

These days, the Swimsuit Issue doesn’t even know who their own audience is, hence the inclusion of ‘body positivity’ alongside the more traditional displays of t-and-a.

Try to please everybody, and you often end up pleasing nobody.

That is one looooong editorial.
What they give in model diversity, they really lack in diversity of concept. There is no creativity, no allure.
Why not give each girl a special story of her own??
Why there is not one group shot??

This is for men only.
BORING.
