i have abit of keratosis pilaris on the back of my upper arms since like 50% of people have this type of skin condition i just wondered if its ok to tattoo over it? are they any disadvantages? big no no? or makes no difference what so ever?

anybody have any kind of info on this?

No personal input but go onto KP forums and people with it might have better answers.

Only thing I can see affecting is my friends KP is pretty reactive to things but thats a whole different general skin sensitivity issue that can come with KP but isnt really a characteristic that comes with KP or so I'm told.

Here's a thread on it to start you off and for anyone else that wanders in here with the same questions. Maybe you can go there and add further probing questions- someone with tats and KP might be out there chalk ful of answers.

AH thank you sephora_socialite for alllllll that info. yeah i've heard of some of those places. im not for from state of grace and i've heard good things about them. i feel more assured that i can make improvements to it!

anyway, this is the full view of my ribs... i took this pic right after i got the script so the blow out is not really visible yet, i guess. and disregard all those random black marks around the tattoos haha its the gunk from the tape.
someone asked what font i used and the answer is my artist's handwriting haha my sister and i both have the script and we asked the artist to write it freehand. we didn't want it like a font.

thanks for those links, i dont have any skin sensitivity issues its more of a texture issue its not really bad it has gotten abit worse due to winter and my skin being more dry than usual! but abit of regular moisturising can fix that. im sure i'll find some way around it.

I have a tattoo on each wrist. I want to get another one, my dad passed away recently and i would like to get just "dad x" in his writing, but i dont know where abouts on my body to get it.

I love tattoos. Its my obsession. If I had enough money and time I would be covered. Hopefully one day I will.

I only have four, but have planned a new one for January. I always use the same tattooist, Lianne Moule, cos I thinks she amazing and she doesnt mind my childish designs.

1. Carson Ellis' Bluebird of Happiness
2. Sufjan Stevens' song Seven Swans (drawn by Luciano Luzano)
3. HP crest (not finished, cos I cant do more than three hours in the chair)
4. 'Dad' heart and fire-doves
5. Placement

(SORRY for massive pic-spam!)

Wow, I seriously love your tattoos!! Very beautifull!!:flower:

^ Only "classic" style tats I like are Dia De Los Muertos art. That one is a good example. I I like how the hair is arranged on the sugar skull. Dulce Muerte indeed!
