thanks for the compliments urban, breathe and chanel!!

i always use lomos. i'm kind of the queen of crappy cameras. i've done entire solos shows of nothing but polariods, 110 spy cameras, holgas, dianas, and lomos (all individually). i'm pretty obsessed with the supersampler (like the actionsampler, but the quarters are broken up differently). i have about 10 rolls of lomo lca pictures to get developed soon. i'll post them when i have them!

i take it you like lomos too? did you know they've stopped producing the lca? i need a new one, i've been using my boyfriend's and it's pretty kaput.

hi, new member here and i wanted a quick read from this group on a test we shot in NYC last week. Model is Anya from 2NY models, MUA, hair and styling by Lani Todd. Lingerie by La Perla. Images shot on Nikon D2X. Any thoughts, critiques, comments and suggestions are more than welcome.

Hello, glennusdin! I really like the lightning!! in the first picture particular. The model is like glowing.
But the look is a bit too polished.
Nice work!

oh, and francesca. I can join your fanclub right now!

I  your pictures, there is some kind of stillness in them but still they feel temporary.

i also agree glennusdin the lighting is excellent especially for that kind of shoot. makes it look more tasteful. keep up

glenn, i like the lighting, but the poses look awkward and unnatural..like the model knows she's modelling lingere, and it makes her uncomfortable. they're beautiful images, i love the colors and the textures (the lingere is lovely!) i just wish that she looked more comfortable.

francesca i like the abstractness of your work. what did you say you shot those with? heres one from a recent shoot i did for a small local magazine

thanks for the compliments, smashinfashion..i shot those with a hassleblad 500c medium format camera. i use my pentax k1000 as a light meter. it's pretty much my favorite 'real' camera ever, 'real' meaning not a polaroid or a lomo. i never use digital.

and here she is!

so beautiful!

Lurking.....

Hi folks,

I've been lurking around this forum for a bit and thought I'll brave the ouside and step on out. This isn't really what I wanted to do but if you're a photographer, you tend to try out different stuff so I've been doing tests here and there....

I'm interested in hearing comments..this is all a bit new to me - I've only been testing for about a year and this is pretty much all the testing I've done ...well, plus Robert, Michael and Wil ..uh...that's about it - 7 models...I call these more fashionable portraits than anything else....

Stylists : Joi Salvador
Make-up : Starr Sarkisyan/Jenni Kim
Models : Kira, Tracey, Amie ( Photogenics ) Brittany ( just a gal I know....)

Cheers,

E

i think people need to specify just how much feedback they want...
and if they really want a critique or are just sharing their work...

that's a good point, softgrey..i think considering that the forum is called "fashion photographers lookbook/share your work/get & give feedback," giving constructive critisism is perfectly fine.
