tFS Fashion Photographers - Share Your Work. Before Posting, please read Post #1

oh my God Ejen i love your work the the bluish photo is very sleek could give the people @ fhm or maxim some lessons!!!The black and white and also the one with the roslyn hotel and the one above it are also amazin!!!!

Heres part of my new campaign that i shot a few weeks ago. the theme is a cross between girls gone wild and the other side of town(where people survive)^_^ a sort of seedy environment where the colours in the clothes stand out and trust me the shoot caused some furore. I ll post the final shoot on my site in a few weeks

thank you so much for the compliments texastess! it's so nice of you to say

urban, as usual i love your images..i just wish the model didn't make the same exact face in all the portraits...in the second one down did you up the contrast? i love it!

Urban, my favorite is the first one. It has an edge and I like the lighting.

really like the location you chose urban...:flower:
love the peeling walls....

I've been lurking around this forum for a bit and thought I'll brave the ouside and step on out.

I think you do quite well with a variety of lighting styles and that is remarkable. Your work is very good and you should be proud to show it.

smashin...
really like that new shot...

there's something very 'organic' about it...
and it's also very elegant(love her hand)

and you know i always like your styling...

thanks softie, texastess and francesca. abt the same poses the 2 that are most similar r fromt he same shot. yes int he 2bd i upped the contrast and made it darker

Thanks to all who commented. But really I have to thank my stylist, make-up artists and the models. Seriously if you got a good team behind you, a model who knows herself and is confident, it makes everything so much easier....

But this is just something thing I'm playing with - portraits are more of my mainstay....

BTW : Urban, the cool silverblue thing is actually from the two florescent light fixtures I bought at Home Depot. You can sit one in the shot way in the back. The other is above her.....it's kinda crazy but I can't afford Kino Flo units so I kinda made a poor man's version....

some long overdue images that was sitting in my harddisk :innocent:

Thank you for looking

Hey .francesca, be proud of me, I just scored a 1960's Lubitel and a matching Leningrad 2 light meter on eBay. I have to say your photos have inspired me to do mid format photography on janky cameras. That, and the initial buy in isn't bad at all when you're looking for Holgas. Thank you.:flower:

wow, that's amazing! i hope you're not implying that my hassleblad is junky  that thing cost me 2 months rent...

in anycase..i'm really excited for your lubitel (and jealous...) and you'll have so much fun shooting with it! i'm glad i could inspire you. i love janky cameras! please post the images you shoot with it when you have some. what types of film are you going to shoot? if you can find kodak pro-image film, i love that the best..it's color but it shoots like black and white, so the colors are really muted. most of the images i posted in this thread were shot with the pro-image. it's cheap too.

great find! thanks for the compliments.

Hey all, this was supposed to be a duplicate of this ad for a school project:

So I did it like this, using available car parts instead of cameras:

Thumbnails of others.

Lessons learned? I should've diffused my light, and hanging 10 feet up in the rafters of my garage will yeld only blurry photos.

I want a reallly brutal critique on these photos. I really love the last one, but her face is obcured by shadow. :( The "dress" was a green sheet of fabric that I clipped on her. Photoshop effects are used to hide mistakes.

well, if i still lived in san francisco i'd certainly take pictures of you!

may i ask what they are for? just for fun, or work? curious

^ I have modeled nude for artists photographers for about 5 years off and on. They NEVER take good photos, but I usally don't care. It's money! I do think I am pretty though, and it would be nice to have some stunning photos of me for a change. They would help with a portfolio. I have never tried submitting photos to real modeling agencies, but I figure I'd give it a try if I can ever build up a good model/photographer relationship to build up a portfolio. There are too many skeezes out there who do TFP and it's not worth it. I am only 5'5, so I am not looking for any huge career, maybe just some print ads for catalogs n such. I find it more a way to keep in touch with the art/fashion world more than anything.

Wow! Amazin' work Francesca and Pamela! You guys great! I'm headin' up to NYC the 23rd and I'll be lookin' for photographers, b/c I need to update my headshot and I wanna get some comp cards done.

Pamela, which part of NYC are you at? I'll be in Queens. It would be great if you could take my pics, that if you do headshots and that kind of stuff for actin'. I really wish you were in NYC Francesca!!! I would of loved to work with you! Both of you are amazin!
