My question is can everyone pull off blonde in some shape or form? Probably not, but still...

I want to try it I'm a brunette, semi fair skin... Only problem is lots of blonde makes me a little pink. And I'm not sure I can afford the salon that it would need to make it look OK

^ Try highlights. Don't go full color, blonde needs to work its way into your hair. As in, slowly get lighter and lighter just don't bleach it all out at once or else you're going to have a moment of "who is that!!" and "what have I done!" I've also heard that if you were blonde as a child it might look better, but my sister wasn't and she can pull it off. So just try to go blonde slowly and see if you like it =). Most people can't imagine themselves as a blonde but that doesn't mean it won't work. I was blonde as a child, then it got blonde in the summer and darkened up around the 6th grade. I then had med. brown hair and just slowly got highlights around my head and now it looks like my natural color and no one can believe it's not.

quick question:when is it right to lighten your brows too,if you're going blonder?and how do you do it?i heard you can use jolen for 5 min.but i'm too scared they'll end up invisible
by the way,i'm not looking for a drastic change,just a shade lighter than the current medium blonde highlights i have now.it's just the brows that are kinda dark brown and they're getting on my nerves

^ I wouldn't do it. I have dark brows and blonde, blonde hair and get compliments on it all the time. But if you really want to, go to a stylist and ask. Or get some of that hair lightening facial bleach and bleach them out with that (they did it backstage at one of the fashion weeks). Or get a Fekkai highlighting brush and brush color on first to see how you like it (they're rinses).

Yeah, I wouldn't do it either. I love how dark brows look with light hair (think Diane Kruger and Vahina Giocante). I wish my brows were darker!

i just want the blonde to look more natural,but since i'm not going for something dramatic,like platinum blonde,i think i should just experiment with the frederic fekkai brushes..thanks for all your help guys!!!

my hair is very dark brown and i would really like to colour it the exact same shade of honey/ ash(?) blonde as jessica alba in these pics

does anyone have any advice on how to achieve this colour without any 'orangeness' (if that makes sense)? it's just 4 months ago, I asked for this colour at the salon and they turned my hair ginger-ish with yellow streaks...it looked horrendous. I decided to go to vidal sassoon to fix it and in the consultation before hand, the colourist said that because my hair is so dark, the colour is always going to be slightly orangy. I decided to leave it and now I can't take it any longer! someone pleasse help!!

if you don't want it to turn orange or reddish ask for an ash blonde(sandre) shade,I think.They don't have any red hue on them,in order to avoid the effect you're describing..many professional shades have the sandre term in them to make it clear..i always use those

Ask for honey tone highlights and after you get them done buy blonding shampoo in "honey" sold by John Freida (sp?). They usually will keep you under for a short time and maybe put a toner on. Or maybe you can even do it by a box at the store, usually they tend to not lighten it too much, which seems like something you want. Also, ask for them to be medium to thin highlights and if you want the lines to show, ask for them to be piecey. If you want them to look more natural, ask for them to be woven in. It seems she has the woven in effect. Make sure you specify, "honey" tones. Orange means the stylist is clueless , so make sure you do your research on the salon =) (I'm lucky I've had my stylist for awhile and she listens, lol. Most think they're in an art studio. There is also a helpful website if you live in a major city, it's called yelp and they have salons by city and helpful reviews (esp. in NY, Philly, and San Fran.) Anymore questions, just ask .

Also, you might want to ask for them to try using color instead of bleach and to also put a toner on (make sure to ask for that).

I'd like to lighten my hair but I'd rather use natural products than do a color. What should I use ? Does camomilla shampoo really work ? I have a friend who use a product by Keranove (in french it's called "Blond vacances") and it works very well but there's oxygenous water in it so I fear that it might damage my hair...

Any advice accepted !

^ That's good that you don't want to use chemicals on you hair because when I was younger I really damaged my hair. It's very healthy now because I only highlight it ever 2 1/2 to 3 months. I know John Frieda has products to lighten the hair a bit. I also use a shampoo by Fekkai, but I'm not sure if it would word on darker hair. It's called blonding shampoo, although you look like you have natural highlights and it might lighten them up. I personally think you should stick with the color you have =) but I'd go with the John Freida shampoos or glossers.

I'm a natural blonde, but I'm really considering darkening my hair.. not too much - actually, something along the lines of your color, isupporthil. I don't know though, I'm still on the fence about it
