I love wacoal bras for most busty girls. personally i splurge on fantasie, elle, and british made bras. i suggest to do the same if you have a small back size.

I'm hopeless concerning dresses so I'd like to get some recommendations too. I'm bigger in the bust area than on my hips and I find it hard to find things that minimizes the bust and hides my tummy yet shows off my waist![]()
Spanx and a belt, perhaps? I really prefer separates ... I think I've got one evening dress in my closet, and I haven't worn it in awhile ... so it is perfectly possible to live without them

As for belts - it's a bit embarrassing but I think I'm afraid of them
When I wear them it feels like I'm emphasizing by belly instead of showing off my waist. I wonder if i'm simply using the wrong sort of belt
I don't find them very comfortable ...
My shape - bigger on top - doesn't go with what's in the stores either. I usually end up with a simple t-shirt or v-neck which would be fine if I knew how to "jazz" it up so it doesn't look boring. How do you do that? Any tips? Any books, blogs or magazines that works well as inspiration for a curvy figure? My husband says I need better shoes - you've got to love that
Now I just need to learn how to buy good shoes
There's a yay/nay shoe thread that might be helpful to you. I actually think that heels are a huge help when you're curvy ... something else you might do is trying participating in the Polyvore threads for practice creating outfits.

^^
I tend to wear flats with shorter skirts. Today I'm wearing a shoter tulip skirt (Nanette Lepore so its not that short) with flats that tie around the ankles (forgot the name of that style)
