The Devil Wears Prada (2006 Movie)

Yup, I'm glad you saw it! :flower: It is a little known classic; you can't do a satire on the fashion industry because it's already a satire!!!

There are plenty of photos of Miranda and Andy, but nothing of Emily! I remember I liked her "look" the best out of all the characters in the film and I'm curious to see her again.

I watched it yesterday
and I adoreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it!

I love to see (in the first 10 minutes) Ines Rivero, a beautiful argentinian model, who bumps into Miranda on the elevator(did anyone remember this scene?)

I was not so impressed with the Runway team, there is this girl with blonde curls, who looks frightening, and not gorge...

Gisele looks awful, I wasn't prepared to see her like that, I prefer her with hair loose,

Nate, the boyfriend, was kind of boring also...
and the blonde writer was gorgeoussssssssssssssssssssssss, he really got into me, I mean how can you not resist that guy! the scene when they two have their first kiss in Paris, is reaaaaaaaaaaaaally hot

Stanley tucci, is hilarious, and also Emily blunt...
Meryl was perfection, totally

and I have to say I didn't like THAT much the styling, I think it was kinda boring actually, I would love to see every scene and what they were wearing, because most of the time Anne is wearing black, and it looks dull on her...also I thought I would see like specific super known items and actually I saw some horrible dresses hanging on the walls (in various scenes),
In the scene of the belts, the dress they are discusting about it's awful!!!! and to put that dress with a turquoise belt??? and over that a flowery red bolero?? awful awful...
When Patricia did the styling for sex & the city, there were times when she hitted right on, but there were a lot of mistakes...

I think I could refilm the whole movie with differents outfits...

I thought the getting dressed montage during the opening credits had the best clothes in the film!! Those were some hot babes in that series!!!

I know! It was absolutely tawdry ... when she picked it out I was like, "She can't be serious, can she ... ?" and then she goes on and asks Nigel (i.e. Stanley Tucci) and he gives his nod of approval ... and all the time I was thinking, "That's horrendous! Which designer actually MADE that hell of a thing? Get him or her out here so I can whack him/her silly ..."

So, does anyone know? Is it really a dress from one of the big designers or is it just a mock-up for the movie ... ?

Love love love love the movie!!! I wore my marc jacobs patent leather flats and took my chloe edith to the movie (my friend thought I was a freak for getting dressed up for it). I want that green coat with the leopard collar but I read it's vintage, oh well.

Hey, in UK Glamour it says that coat is from Lewins. Is that any use?:flower:

Adrian Grenier was hotter than blondielocks! COME ON! He's VINCENT CHASE!!!!!

Hi Wade, and welcome to tFS.

I just saw it this week. I agree with you. None of the outfits were that great or memorable. I personally like some outfits from that Jennifer Garner (something ...30??) better. and this is supposed to be a fashion movie.

and yes, Simon Baker :woot: (looking a little old around the eyes but still golden!:(blush:

I adored the movies, i saw it three times... to get a good look at everything... the clothes, the hairstyles, the models. I loved most outfits Anna Hathaway was wearing, she always looked great, and so did the Emily character.

i loved her white trench and hat combo, she looked stunning the best

I thought Meryl was just awful. Nothing is ever natural for her, every moment is an acting scene.

are there any screen caps of the fashionable girls catching a cab in the beginning of the film?
