The Face with Naomi Campbell

God I love this show!

Okay so while I thought Nicole wasn't doing the best job mentoring she was ON POINT in this latest episode. In the challenge, you can really see what a wonderful and capable model she is, and I thought her advice to her girls was absolutely perfect for the vision she wanted to get across. That shot was absolutely capable of being plucked from French Vogue.

SPOILERS:
I really felt for her and her team, I thought for TV's sake they would give her team a win, but it will be very interesting to see what happens now.

Yaya also had 3 looks in Desert Design and opened the show as well:

The result on The Face AUS was unexpected. I thought Naomi would eliminate the girl from Cheyenne's team to balance the contestants of each team, but, WOW!

I really thought team Nicole deserved the win. She and her girls did very well done job at the challenge and the shoot, not to mention she was very fair to choose Ruth over Anouska.

One girl left and i don't think Nicole's gonna win in the next episode ( according to the teaser Anouska looks nervous and unconfident) but i still hope she win. She's my favourite mentor of this franchise and i dont want the rest of the show will be the game of the other two.

Yaya is very gorgeous, I don't dislike either look, her natural or on the show. She stands out.

Absolutely disgusted with the mentor's decision who to eliminate from the competition in this last episode.

The b*tch fight from EP 1 clearly still lingers...and that mentor is playing a vicious game now against the other mentor.

I can't watch it. There are links but they want me to register or install something...:(

try the link from thevideo.me (Version 7). It worked fine for me without registering. :flower:

It's curious to me how Cheyenne's decision to send Shenika from Team Nicole home is a-okay. Yet, when Naomi decides to let Melise go, it's all part of a vicious game (insert eye roll here).

While I feel terribly sorry for Anouska - she looked so gutted - Nicole send Melise to the elimination room for the exact reason that Naomi eliminated her.

I think the producers should either let Nicole have one of the rejects from the original cast of 24 or steal a girl from another team. Nicole lost Susan through no fault of her own. It's the reason why her team is down to one instead of two.

I'm sorry, I'm getting real tired of Naomi. She is an awful mentor imo and it's obvious because Britanney shuts down each time on set because of her constant barking.

I'm switching teams. Go team Nicole!!!

That's the editorial in Marie Claire Australia that Naomi's team won in Episode 2.

The differences between the three English-language versions of The Face are just so striking. The Face Australia seems to have the best prizes, but a terrible imbalance between the mentors. Caroline, Erin (love! so elegant) and Naomi are the most evenly matched and made The Face UK the most enjoyable to watch, at least for me.

I still maintain that if The Face US were to get Janice Dickinson and Paulina Porizkova as judges, it would be a win for all. Imagine, if you will, Janice's responses to Naomi's tantrums.

Nicole = Lydia = Coco = terrible mentor. I like that Anne V told Lydia to step up her game. For your team to win *no* challenges is a disgrace. You'll notice that, in the most recent episode of The Face Australia, both Cheyenne and Naomi view each other as competition but not Nicole.

The Face US has the worst challenges. I just can't with Afiya's dress on that table. There was absolutely no way for her to navigate that table in that dress with that train and not have it be a disaster. Naomi might as well have sent the models down a flight of highly polished marble stairs to a runway filled with swinging pendulums.

I would like to know which commercial clients require models to write their own scripts and then only give them a limited amount of time to memorize said scripts.

Can someone explain to me why, when they realized Afiya could not correctly pronounce Rafaelian, that they did not simply give those lines to Felisa?

The Face Au is getting more intense. Team Nicole's photo is really cool and very editorial but I must agree that Team Naomi's shot has more energy. Brittaney is one of my favorite contestant, tho she looks lack of energies but she looks really cool and standout on the photo.

The Australian version looks more real and less scripted for me compared to the US version. I feel so bad for Nicole's team. Nicole is a cool mentor and she's better than Lydia. She's also seems so genuine and fair to her team.

And another reason for me to root the Australian version is Georges Antoni. He's such an eye candy LOL.

Oh my God it's so right and Naomi should be looking to hire legitimate supermodels anyway, we know Janice was the first because well ... she's Janice and Paulina hands down.

But Naomi only wants to hire people she can bully and manipulate on the Face Aus. she said that she was an original supermodel but wait it was way before her including Janice and Paulina.

It was obvious from the last episode that Naomi had it in for Nicole how sad.

IDG why other people think that, but to me it's clear they're both playing strategically. Shenika was clearly the stronger model in that room (since it's not the most recent episode I don't think white-out spoiler is necessary) and Cheyenne totally knew that when she sent her home. I honestly think had it been anyone else on Team Nicole, Cheyenne would've sent her home regardless. Performance-wise, all 3 of them are stronger than Brittaney.

I suppose they're justifying it by the fact that Shenika didn't fight for herself in elimination, but I'm not so quick to judge (just like with the Naomi-Kira incident). Editing is a very powerful thing, so it's hard to say for sure what did or did not happen on these shows.

But I have to say the dynamic between the mentors is so horrible to watch on The Face AU. It seems like both Cheyenne and Naomi are ganging up on Nicole and the people who suffer the most are the poor girls who did nothing to any of the mentors. They didn't even have a choice not to choose Nicole.

The Face US is so scripted. I feel like there are certain points Naomi has to flub a challenge just to ~create drama~ and that's what happened with that Rafaelian commercial. Maybe it isn't true, but it stinks so much of scripted-ness to me.

I soooooooo want to see Janice on the show. Erin was also my favorite mentor on the Face UK and actually the entire Face franchise. I hope she comes back and this time with a stronger team (although let's be real, Sienna was hands down the best girl in that entire season. It's a travesty she didn't at least make it to the top 4 - I love Elaine too and I wanted them both in the finale).

Yaya closed this show.

Yaya's final showlist is on her thread. Nikolina also walked one show, but I don't know what show that is (since I don't particularly care for her )
