The Finland Thread

True. It is insane. Also here in Denmark as pointed out in the article evertything's pretty expensive.

wow...its true. a friend had to transit in helsinki a few months ago and she told me that it was expensive...but i had no idea

its a general concept around the world that paris-france is the most expensive :ninja:

Paris-france is CHEAP. Come to London-england and you'll know what I'm talking about. Only place in the world when you could pay more than £2 for a mars bar...

Well, king says it all really...
Finland is the most expensive Euro zone country eh. If the euro gets introduced in the UK, it could mean that our prices are, hmmmn, lets not go there (UKIP :innocent:)

Sweden is a lot more expensive than England, are the prices there consistant? You can go to two different parts of London, (very close proximity), and find 2 different prices, not fair.

i know...i paid 12 pounds for a plain white half sleeve vest!
and how can we forget the 250 pound gucci shirt?

londons expensive when it comes to food to, i guess....i remember we didint drink as much coke there (which was hard cuz we came from saudi arabia, wehre coke is actually cheaper than water!!!) cuz it was expensive, like 2 pounds for a liter or so?!?

Will you please stop complaining? I've allready told you that in Romania the average wage is 100 dollars and a Mars Bar is 1,50 dollars. At least they pay better salaries in the western countries... :innocent:

ok,ok, let me tell you, here in Hungary we have 25% tax which goes on every product (i meen electronics, clothes...). Thats a kind of tax which in Europe I think is just about 10-12%. And the minimum salary is 250 dollars/month and the average is 450 dollars.

Just because someone else is dying doesn't mean I can't complain if someone pokes me in the eye.

Yes, but if you and the dying person were in the same room, who would care about your hurt eye?

what???? you are rich if you can earn 2500 dollars here. Thats enough for everything (almost). For example just because we have to pay 150 dollars/month for our flat. and that doesnt count electricity and gas. B)

This is one of Romania's paradoxes:
Average wahe- 100 bucks
Average rent: $100
Average electricity, water etc: $100

And people have to eat and dress, too...

Thas sad though.

Many Hungarians who live next to the border of Romania and Hungary go shopping there cos in Romania the food is much-much cheaper.

As a paradox, people who live next to the Austrian border go shopping there even for sugar cos its still cheaper there then in Hungary
