I was thinking of these make up looks for prom. I'd like to try them out first.

Can anyone tell me how I can acheive them? Sometimes it's hard to look at a picture and transfer it exactly how you want without a bit of instruction. Products needed? My favorite make up brand is Sonia Kashuk.

Which one do you think would look best? I have pale skin, light golden brown hair, green/blue eyes. My fav feature are my cheekbones, since their nice and high.

My dress is white satin, bias cut, open back. I'll have silver shoes and clutch, and a pale pink fur stole.

I vote for the first look. The last two look like they have almost no makeup whatsoever in them (I mean, I'm sure they do, they just look like they don't). The first look is really lovely for your coloring and would go very well with your oufit.

I would use a Benetint type cheek stain to achieve the blush look in the first photo. I am pretty sure that Sonia Kashuk makes a product like that.

i like the secong and third look, very pretty in my opinion. not too much or too less.

the first look is beautiful!

I second the cheek stain suggestion in a berry red color (moisturize first)

minimal eye lid color-something natural, neutral

a very thin line of black eye liner-top lids only

2 coats of black mascara

a white shimmer product in the inner eye corners

a bold berry red lip

Would it look okay to use fake lashes? I was thinking fake lashes, mascara and no other eye make up.

Anyone know of any good fake lashes?

fake lashes would be pretty-maybe with just a neutral, slightly shimmery color all over the lid. try the mac lashes.

Hey guys,
As i dont wear much make up ( or buy much for tht matter ) and
it seems like u guys can quiet a bit,i was wondering, how do i get this
" shimmery " but yet sophisticated look ?
I have the exact complexion as her,and this summer i wanna "shimmer"
a bit,but i don't want it to feel sticky or use tons of make up to achieve this look.
Like what products u recommend? ( nothing too expensive or too cheap)
Thanks :flower:

i'm not sure if you want to recreate the whole look or just the skin . .
if it's the whole look you want then first off you need a dewy shimmery base. try a tinted moisturiser or a light diffusing foundation . . i like ultima II glowtion foundation
add some bronzer if you want some colour or just leave the skin fresh & dewy
i can't see the eyes v.clearly but it looks like it's just some liquid liner which has been winged out . . you could add a light shimmery shadow upto the browbone something like MAC's retrospeck . . & never forget lots of mascara >;P
for the lips use something matt and close to your natural colour . .

hope that helps :flower:

i_<3_chanel, do you know how to re-create a glowing complexion (not oily) affect like that of JLo or Jennifer Love Hewitt (as seen at the Nikolodian (sp?) Kids Awards)?

Thanx in advance for your advice.

Hi,
I remember seeing a product made by either benefit or mac which was a tint...it had like a frosty grey color and you would add it to your foundation and it would give u that frosty/fresh look.. I checked out their websites and didnt find anything but check out the benefit counter..Im sure they have something.

I purchased this from benefit and I  it...gives me rosey cheeks w/o using blush...

just a good base & bronzer should do the trick

Golden_butterfly a great product to use for dewy shimmery skin is Benefit's High Beam . . it's fab as a higlighter or i sometimes use it mixed with a bit of light moisturiser all over

Try Revlon Skinlights lotion, it's really good on top of your normal moisturiser/foundation on the bits you want to shimmer, or mix 1/2 and 1/2 with your moisturiser and put all over your face, gives a good glow.

I use the natural one which loks nice when kept with neutrals on the rest of the face.

Okay I got to check out the outlet store and mac does make a product its called Hyper Real Foundation... I put it on my hand and yup... thats what u are looking for lol it was 17 bucks..not sure how much it would cost in the mac store... good luck :flower:

I was about to recommend revlon skinlights too... there are so many shimmer products out there you just have to find one that suits your skin the best.

Just out of curioucity...what kinda mosturizers do u guys use?
Thanks for all the tips, gonna go downtown next week to buy
the stuff :flower:

For the shimmery skin, Hyper Real that was mentioned is good or Mac Strobe Cream or Prescriptives Magic Potion mixed with your foundation.
