^Lol. I knew he was going to do that, but I wish they had shown him fixing his old wand first.

I didn't like the way Bella died either. I mean she was petrified into the wood and then what? Too quick and underwhelming. Also, it didn't show the bond between her and Voldemort, when he got furious after Bella was killed and attacked Molly. Just my humble opinion :flower:
agreed! you summed it up perfectly!:flower:

I just saw it a third time (I went with a friend who hasn't seen it yet...that's my excuse) and the Bellatrix fight still looks good to me.
It is pretty short, but it works.

Every time I see it, I still get blown away by the dragon scene. It's so good.

I thought this was hilarious. It's a picture of a problem on someone's geometry test:

^^bwahaha, that's brilliant!

I finally went to see the movie last night!! :woot::woot: wow, Alan Rickman blew.me.away!! and I loved McGonagall as well.
everyone in the cinema laughed at Ron and Hermione's kiss. it was just so sudden and a bit random in that scene, how did it happen in the book again?
I had to chuckle throughout the epilogue as well. it was just a bit too cheezy and Harry reminded me so much of some other older actor, but I don't know who!!
throughout the series Harry was told soooooo many times that he has his mother's eyes but in the flashback scenes with Lily and Snape as little kids the actress actually had brown eyes, DUH! (I'm usually not that picky about little details but the eyes were mentioned just too many times)
but all in all what a truly epic movie! had some tears my eyes during a few scenes e.g. when Fred died or before Harry went into the Forbidden Forest. but I didn't really tear up in the end surprisingly, I guess I'd already accepted the end of the series when I finished reading the last book.
Now I want to see the film again!!!! (and btw when did Neville become so hot? ) and to read the last book again (I'd forgotten so much), but too much stuff to do for uni :( (when I read a Potter book I hardly do anything else :p )

aghhhh I haven't seen it yet! These are the movies of my childhood, so to be honest I'm kind of stalling it... though for a while I was trying to go to the premiere in NY or a midnight screening. Now I really want to see it on July 31st, Harry's birthday! :magic:

Damn, I wish I did #228, I had the same problem on my final, though I'm sure my idiot teacher would have never known :(

^Yeah I've seen that. It's sad to see them all crying, especially the part when the trio are hugging. :(

For those of you who still are confused about Pottermore (which is basically everyone), some of the people designing the site answered a few questions about it:

Will Pottermore be available in multiple languages?
Yes. Initially, Pottermore will be available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish. We are aiming to introduce more languages in the future – including Japanese and Korean later this year. You’ll be able to keep track of language availability here on the Insider.

Will Pottermore be free?
Yes, access to Pottermore will be completely free; you won’t have to pay anything to use the site. The Pottermore Shop will have items in it that you’ll be able to buy, but choosing to purchase something – or not – won't affect your progress through the story as the Shop sits outside of the online reading experience.

Can you please explain what you mean by 'online reading experience'? How much will I, as a Pottermore user, be able to affect the story? After all, hasn't Harry's story already been told?

The best way to think of Pottermore is as an interactive, illustrated companion to the books. J.K. Rowling wanted to create a site where her stories could live on and where readers could explore them in a new way. In addition to discovering new material from J.K. Rowling about Harry’s world, you’ll be able to interact with key story Moments (the Sorting Hat sequence, for example) and upload your own comments, thoughts and artwork for all the characters, objects and places that you come across.

So Pottermore isn't a massively multiplayer online role-playing game like World of Warcraft, or a social network game like Farmville?
No. While there will be some simple games you can play (you'll be able to brew potions, for example), Pottermore is very much about the books: being able to experience Harry’s story in a new way and discover all the additional information that J.K. Rowling has written.

Isn't there a House Cup that we compete for by earning points?
Yes, there is. As you progress through the story you'll also be able to earn house points – and once you get to the end of the first book you can carry on earning points to help your house win the House Cup.

Would you say Pottermore is a social network for fans of Harry Potter?
Not really. Pottermore isn’t trying to compete with sites like Facebook or the Harry Potter forums and fan sites that are already out there. Once you’ve signed up to Pottermore you’ll be able to find and invite your Facebook friends (if you're over thirteen) and leave comments in your house common room and the Great Hall, but Pottermore isn't a social networking site where you can share personal information or chat in forums.

I saw the Sony logo at the top of Pottermore.com. What's Sony's involvement with the site?
Sony is the primary partner of Pottermore. They have been consulted and involved in the development of the site experience and will offer a range of products and services to Pottermore users.

Is Pottermore the Harry Potter encyclopedia?
J.K. Rowling has written exclusive new material especially for Pottermore giving unique insights, back stories and additional information about the characters, places and objects in the Harry Potter series. For now, Pottermore is the only place you’ll be able to find new information from J.K. Rowling about Harry’s world, and we'll be releasing this material as each of the seven books appears on the site.

Once I've been sorted, will I be able to change houses?

J.K. Rowling has created a series of questions for the Sorting Hat, and how you answer these questions will determine which of the four houses you’ll be in. Once you've been sorted, you won't be able to change; the Sorting Hat's decision is final!

What formats will the ebooks be available in? Will I be able to read them on my iPad/Sony eReader/Kindle…?
The Pottermore Shop is due to open in October. Our aim is to offer the ebooks in an as many formats as possible. We’ll provide more information closer to the time.

I’ve submitted my email to the Pottermore website – does this mean I’m registered with Pottermore.com?
Not yet. If you’ve submitted your email address to the site, we'll use it to let you know when site registration is open to everyone. In other words, once you’ve received an email from us, you'll be able to visit Pottermore.com and complete the registration process.

What's going to happen on 31 July?
We don't want to ruin the surprise but something will be happening on Pottermore.com on 31 July. Come back to the site, or keep an eye on the Pottermore Insider and our Pottermore Twitter feed for details.

That is such an amazing video. I really want to go see the film again.. I could watch it a million and one times and not be bored.

^I've seen it three times and I'm eager to see it again.
I think the next time I go, I'll see it in 3D, because you can tell a lot of those scenes would look amazing with those added effects.

Thanks for posting. Everything I have read so far was a bit confussing so I just signed up and thought I would wait and see what happens when I get the email. It's going to be awesome but I hope this doesn't delay the book encyclopedia.

Will Pottermore be available in multiple languages?
Yes. Initially, Pottermore will be available in English, French, German, Italian and Spanish.

I wanna know if it will be English english or American english? I know it's nitpicky but I really don't like reading ''Sorcerer's Stone".

^As an American, I hope it's in English english. I've always wanted to read the UK versions of the books, because that's how JKR wrote them.

^ same here, i'm re-reading the books over and there's one part where Harry is talking about soccer and ,despite being an American, it really bothered me

I really want to see the movie in 2-D. I'm not a fan of 3D and Ive seen it twice now but even though some scenes looked really amazing i still prefer the standard verison with movies.

^Completely agree. I hope it's English-English not American-English (even though I'm American myself) because it just feels more authentic in a way when it's in the format which J.K. Rowling intended it to be. So excited for Pottermore now that I understand more about what it's about.

I'm Canadian and Canadians are on the fence about pretty much everything. I can say and spell things either the American way or the British way with a few exceptions ("colour" is never "color", for example). I like to go the British way for everything but it's kind of inconvenient that words like "organise" are always spelt "organize". So with Canadian English, they tell you that you can go either way but they're lying. /rant
The point of my post is that I'm quite annoyed with AmE interfering with the way I spell things, so I really hope it's going to be in BrE. I apologise for the fact the majority of my post is completely OT.
