I loved the last movie. Saw it 3 times already, I am glad to give them money. They totally deserve it. I had a HP marathon before each of my viewing and it's incredible how much they changed, how much they grew as actors. Emma Watson is on a good track to be a great one. I also appreciate the fact she would love to do very few movies but those whom people would remember. I think she succeed in that with HP, if the Perks is well done it could also be a great one and the Beauty and the Beast looks like a very good project. Esp since there aren't 3 in the making and this one is not as much adapted as the others.

IMO she raised the bar with each HP and in the last one she was awesome. Her kiss with Dan was great but her kiss with Rupert was even better. I loved the epilogue even if I don't think Bonnie did such a good job, she has zero chemistry with Dan and unfortunately they can't hide it. I mean his kiss with Emma was 100% hotter than the one with Bonnie. I also think Alan deserves an Oscar :P

I am just disappointed that they didn't do a Peter Jackson type of HP with a longer version with Dumbledore back story, a bigger place for Voldemort/Bellatrix relationship and I was let down by the Bella/Molly fight too?

That being said, I am glad they are breaking every record because they deserve it. This franchise was pure quality from the beginning to the end. Congrats to them :)

^lol!

@Ammarra: I keep hearing people say Alan deserves an Oscar but I disagree to an extent.
I thought he was brilliant, but in certain parts of the prince's tale (like when he begs dumbledore to protect Lily) I thought he could have shown more emotion.
Imo I think Ralph Fiennes' performance deserves recognition. It was on par with Heath Ledger in the Dark Knight or Christoph Waltz in IB, in the sense that he somehow managed to be quirky yet deadly at the same time.

I'll admit to not being much of a Potter fan, I haven't seen all the films and probably wouldn't have bothered had I not looked after a few of the cast but I thought this was very sweet. Assuming it hasn't been posted here.

i saw it yesterday with a bunch of friends, it was amazing!! i loved everything!! even though some of my friends did cry i didnt, but i did fill emotional at some parts. and specially mention for Alan Rickman's performance, he's such a great actor, those snape flashbacks were so great, it was so sweet that even if he kind of hated in some way harry, he looked for him till the very end.

the 19 year old part was kind of cheesy, but better than i expected to, it did annoy me to se hermione after 19 years, and she hadn't aged not even a little bit, that was weird, i need her to tell me the recipe!

i was checking the thread to see if someone had already posted this, but aparently no one has, i literally LOLed after watching this, couldnt stop laughing.

The "Well I have" picture totally killed me.    I think it's Rupert's expression.
When I was watching the movie, I did wonder why he noticed but Hermione didn't, though.
I think it's high time Ralph Fiennes gets an Oscar. As a matter of fact, I think it's long overdue!

Did you guys watch the movie in 2D or 3D? Which one do you think is better?

^ ive seen it in 3D twice and 2D once. I like 2D better just cause i hate 3D movies, i find them looking really fake. however some scenes did look nice with 3D, its just my preference when it comes to watching a movie

I watched it in 3D first, then 2D. And to be honest, I didn't notice much of a difference.:ninja:

I've seen it 3 times. All in 2D. I do want to see it in 3D though.

 @ the video littlepaperstars posted. They were so tiny.

 @ the video paz2992 posted!! That's hilarious!

I thought this was sweet. It's from a video that was posted on the previous page:

From Mugglenet....

Michelle Obama to host 'Deathly Hallows - Part 2' screening for U.S. Navy

It was announced today that First Lady Michelle Obama and Warner Brothers will be hosting a special screening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2 for United States Navy members and their families:

In appreciation of their service, members of the United States Navy and their families will be treated to a special exclusive screening of Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2,” the finale of the blockbuster film franchise, which opened nationwide on July 15, 2011.

As part of the Joining Forces initiative, First Lady Michelle Obama will be in attendance to thank the members of the military and their families. While there, she will also introduce the film.

i just watched it again, but this time in the Original Version. it's so much better! although the dubbing wasn't that bad, since i'm already used to their German voices, but especially Harry's scene in the great hall, when he shouts at Snape, is so much more impressive, he gave me chills this time, such a great job!

also the 3D effects were amazing this time around, i def prefer 3D on a little smaller screens.

i also fell in love with the soundtrack, the first time around it didn't impress me at all, save for a few moments, but it's grown on me and i LOVE it:heart:

it was also a nice surprise to see that the theater was packed, completely sold out...i never knew we had that many brits here...need to go to that Irish Pub some time and find me a brit, i love the accent:rofl:

just overall this second time the movie was better, i'm ready to see it again:lol:

As if I didn't need another reason to love Michelle Obama... and then she goes and announces she'll be hosting a screening of Harry Potter... what a truly fab women! And it's a great choice of film to watch with the troops. Gosh knows they need all the spirit raising they can get. Ooooh.... wouldn't it be super neat if say Dan or one of the other cast members pop up at the screening too?

^It would be, but the cast is spread out all over the world. They may have filmed something though. :)

‘Harry Potter’ becomes highest-grossing franchise ever :D

Harry Potter has yet another box-office record to add to its increasing list. With Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 surpassing $600 million in worldwide box-office, the Harry Potter films have passed Star Wars as the all-time highest grossing franchise domestically!

With its latest box-office totals coming in, Potter has made an estimated $2.223 billion at the domestic box-office, edging out Star Wars’ figure of $2.218 billion. Worldwide, Potter has passed $7 billion, a whopping figure.

In related news, Warner Bros. has now surpassed $1 billion this year, marking the 11th year running it has reached this figure – much thanks to Potter. We will be tracking the Deathly Hallows – Part 2 figures as it continues to attract viewers from around the globe. A truly impressive achievement, no?
