agreed. i felt like they should have explained it at least for those who didnt read the books. i hope they clear it up in DH.
It was a shame that Snape's unfortunate upbringing couldn't fit into the movie. I feel it's one of the underlying themes of the book, that the unloved child will return evil for evil. If the other kids at school, including Harry's father, hadn't teased and tormented a somewhat unappealing loner, Snape wouldn't have been filled with so much hate.
It's an interesting contrast with Draco, a much-adored son, who feels no pleasure in what his parents have him do. It's more like a family tradition to be evil.

it's boring for me because they cut out scenes that i like in the book like the fight scene involving Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Luna and Neville against the death eaters and the beautiful scene of dumbledore's funeral etc... it was not completely faithful to the book...
