The Royal Wedding

They were at the dinner last night, so I guess they attended the wedding, but I didn't see them either

The foreign royals were in the next set of seating one down from the Queen etc. Queen Margrethe of Denmark was at the front (sort of next to Harry) and Queen Sofia of Spain and her son etc were behind her. The rest of them from Norway etc were behind them. Queen Margrethe looked fantastic in bright blue.

Seriously, Camilla was one of the best dressed. She looked so good.

I wonder what she will wear for the rest of her engagements today...

I had no idea that I would enjoy the wedding as much as I did, but it is because they looked so happy together.

Absolutely loved the dress, very elegant.
Wonder what the chances are of us seeing the original sketch, I'd love to add it to my sleeve...

Isn't there a new Kate Middleton thread? I saw the old one was closed, or is there now only a Royal wedding thread?

Wow her dress was GORGEOUS. She looked absolutely flawless. Camilla looked marvelous as well!

I can't believe the Queen and Phillip are pretty much 85 and 90. Wow.

I can't find any HQ's yet but I found this -

Also I forgot to mention that it was fantastic how when they got in the carriage and went on their way the sun came out.

everyone at home watched the wedding spectacle, and my mom thought the dress was a big pile boring.. i had to agree for a while too. after all the speculation and media play, it was a bit anticlimactic -- not that i did expect anything avant garde or edgy or something mcqueen/sarah would usually create, just one that had a little more flair than the one middleton eventually wore. in the end, given the tedious preparations, maybe the royal family code of conduct dictates the bride to wear something generic. the details of the dress were exquisite though.

and wow the reception coverage nearly put me to sleep. aside from the pageantry of the cute fascinators, kate and william showed almost zero passion, which was sad.. i think i liked princess di's wedding more. well to each his own. happy for them though.

Me too. When they opened the balcony doors and she went ''Oh Wow" I smiled from ear to ear. And two kisses was the icing on the cake. The whole event was wonderful. They are perfect together.

Indeed they are. I loved the "shall we? shall we kiss?" by HRH Duc of Cambridge. Too cute

There will be a new thread for Catherine! opened once the wedding buzz dies down. There were far too many off topic posts for the moderators to handle at this time :flower:

She looked absolutely gorgeous in the McQueen dress -- even if, yes, the dress was a modern version of Princess Grace's dress. I won't even pick on her for her trademark liquid eyeliner as she was radiant and beautiful for her big day.

They make a nice couple.

I hope Harry wont get married to that old looking too tanned Pippa or his (ex?) GF Chelsea eeek. He'll find someone better and prettier.

Not long now before they reappear and leave the palace...

Kate looked stunning. Her sister looked beautiful! The whole thing was just gorgeous!

Absolutely loved the wedding! Kate looked so beautiful and her dress was incredible - very Grace Kelly. I really loved Pippa Middleton's dress as well and Camilla really outdid herself (her outfit was designed by the same label who made her lovely wedding press a few years ago.)
We might possibly get two more outfits from Catherine and William today as they're attending a private family dinner and then a more informal party with their friends.

I really hope we get to see the outfits from the private dinner and the evening party. I'm still on a high from all the excitement.

I had avoided all of the hype, but I can't deny that I sat there and watched the whole thing from start to finish... The best thing about the whole ceremony was Harry, IMO

That car was brilliant! Had Harry written all over it.The balloons, William driving, brilliant! Such a great bit of humour and a touch for a modern Royal couple! No one saw that coming! Did anyone else see the footage of the verger in the Abbey doing cartwheels down the aisle when he thought no one was looking?
