The Sims 3

girls! I have the sims 3 and I am in desperate need of designer clothes! where do I find them?

I have both Sims 3 and Sims 2 (and sims 1 but that doesn't count  ) and I'm sticking with Sims 2. Sims 3, while amazing with all its customization is far too complicated for me.

In addition, I find that it runs very poorly on my Macbook and needs way too much memory.

It's not that I'm disappointed in the game, it's that they've tried to push the boundaries so hard that it ends up being convoluted at times. Sims 2 was perfect, IMO :)

^ i know.
im finally doing things right in my sims game.
though i still used cheats.
but that was only for the parents!

i started with just my one girl sims in a loft, and then she met a man at the bar, they dated/fell in love/got pregnant.
she was in the art field at the time and he was in politics.
then she switched to law enforcement since i realized that was her aspiration to be a captain hero

then i moved them into a bigger home.
they had their first kid, who i let age on her own, and then when she was a child i got her pregnant with the second.

then got them engaged, then when she was pregnant i got them married.
he became mayor and achieved platinum meter and she became captain hero and got the same.

then when child #2 became a toddler, child #3 was born.
now i gotta wait until the child turns into a teen so i can get her ready for college.
which i decided im going to play out and since sims dont age when you dont play them, when shes graduated im going to age everyone to the next life time..
unless the parents are already elders, then they can die on their own

and that was a long post :ninja:

I really dislike the Sims 3, I bought it played it once and never again! I hate the one family thing and the characters look like dough with eyes

I LOVE the Sims 2! I can spend hours on it! Allaboutstyle.com is great for designer clothes, they have Oscar De La Renta, Balmain etc.

justsims2.ru has a lot o good stuff too
90% of mn downloaded sims clothes is from there
they have ready to wear, seen on celebs, award show clothes, etc

i need new male clothes though
i find a lot of the male clothes i find are really ugly :ermm:
even on the allaboutstyle page :ermm:

i have a question..

you know when you go to download custom content, and you gotta save the files in another folder and then use winzip or something like that to put them into the Sims Downloads folder..

well, after you put the saved content into the Downloads folder, can you delete the things you saved (not from the downloads folder, but the other one) and still have the content in the game ?

get what im saying ?

^I think it's safe to delete the folders that aren't in the Downloads/Sims folder. ^_^

Just got back into the habit of playing Sims 2. There is some really nice houses here.
Obviously they aren't perfect, so I've re-done most of them on my game. My Sims need the best in life.. good cars, huge homes and designer clothes. :shifty:

Thanks babee :flower:
Aroundthesims2 has nice furniture sets
i have pretty much all of it
got a bunch more new stuff last night :ninja::lol:

I wouldnt download anything that doesn't come from the sim exchange on the sim site. People have been known to include spyware and viruses in the files used to download houses, clothes, etc.

My friend got her credit card information stolen that way because of spyware that was from a house she downloaded for sims 3

I havent had any problems at all
i only get stuff from 2 or 3 sites really
justsims2.ru for clothes and aroundthesims2 for furniture
i got most of houses from the sim site but it wont let me download anything anymore unless i register my game and it wont let me do that either :ermm:

Well, its still possible even if you have never gotten them. Its just not safe.
Its kinda a risk is all.

Thanks for posting that! Definatly something to keep in mind when downloading!

Omg the new sims 3 is so nice, cant wait till it comes out. Finally you can get tattoos lol
The downloaded ones look so bad

Ditto to the site "All About Style". They have excellent designer inspired wear. I love it.

Also co-sign "Around The Sims".

XM Sims 2 has great hairstyles. I love them and have almost all of them. I really love how they divide the different hair colors (black, blonde, brown) and then give you varying shades (midnight, jet black, auburn, hazelnut, dirty blonde, light blonde).

Holysimoly.com has super cute furniture. Both singles and sets.

I'm surprised WellDressedSim.com hasn't been mentioned yet. It's been around since Sims 3 and has great items. Oooh... on second thought, it probably hasn't been mentioned because it's a pay site. But I paid for it once and loaded up on a lot of stuff. I wouldn't do a monthly subscription because they definately don't update enough. But you could get a subscription now and get a lot of Sims 2 stuff.

Is Sims easy to run on macs? As I would like to play it but don't know whether I should get it yet until I know the quality..
