Tom Cruise & Katie Holmes

I read an article saying that Tom has told Katie to change her name to Kate because she's an adult now and Katie's a kids name....

3. The Church is very, very powerful, and they blackmailed Tom into staying, with whatever they have on him - I tend to believe the "birth defect" rumors, just because they've been around for so long, and he seems so much more asexual than gay. The whole gay p*rn star lawsuit and everything was deflection. He has to stay, divorces Nic, and winds up falling deeper into the Church. He's completely entrenched now, I don't think there's any hope for him.

What are the 'birth defect' rumours?!

Despite splitting from Tom Cruise five years ago, Nicole Kidman says that she still considers their 2001 divorce a "major shock" – and confesses that she still loves her ex.

"To me, he was just Tom, but to everybody else, he is huge. But he was lovely to me. And I loved him. I still love him." Kidman, 38, tells the Ladies' Home Journal in a new interview, in which she also reveals a certain premonition about something dire being about to happen.

"I always knew the rug was going to be taken out from underneath me at some stage," says Kidman. "I didn't think it was going to happen in the way it happened. I had seen my mother battle breast cancer, so I had a fear of my health being jeopardized – that was really where I was thinking mine would come.

After 10 years of marriage and adopting two children together – Isabella, now 13, and Connor, 11 – Cruise filed for divorce in February 2001, citing irreconcilable differences.

"I knew I was going to get hit with something," says Kidman, who stars in the upcoming Fur (about photographer Diane Arbus). "But I think a divorce, and the demise of what your family is, is a little death in itself."

Basically that he has a miniature penis. It doesn't grow from the time of infancy/toddler, and is incapable of intercourse, but in some cases they can become aroused and sperm can be produced, so it doesn't rule out natural children if artificial means are used in conception. A friend of mine from high school dated a guy with it - said it was less than an inch when erect.

As far as it applies to Tom, it's been around a loooooooong time, in the background. Mid-80s at least. No idea if it's true or not, of course, but to me it explains an awful lot about his behavior, from his seemingly desperate need to be the manliest, to his refusal to have sex with Mimi Rogers because he needed to 'keep his instrument clean' (her words), to the way he and Nicole always seemed more like companions/friends than lovers. He's never seemed gay to me, and I don't believe those rumors. John Travolta on the other hand... :innocent:

cosmogrl5, that is a frightening article, thank you for posting

Three years, I think. I found this source, though the story's been floating around forever, not sure which publication it originated in, but she's never denied it: http://www.contactmusic.com/new/xmlfeed.nsf/mndwebpages/rogers%20split%20from%20a%20celibate%20cruise

She says, "He was seriously thinking of becoming a monk. He thought he had to be celibate to maintain the purity of his instrument, but my instrument needed tuning, and we had to split."

Mimi's long been on my least favorite actresses list because of her awful X-Files character, but "my instrument needed tuning" cracks me up :D She introduced him to Scientology, hitched herself to his rapidly rising star, and got more weirdness than she bargained for.

I just watched Mission Impossible III and I was just thinking to myself, who would resist him? Even I would be silly enough and go ahead with his weird plans:p

Did he really never have sex with Mimi?
How long were they married?

Somehow...I am doubtful of that they ever even slept in the same bed! I think they were married for 2 1/2 years. I saw that on tv last night.

Mimi could never get pregnant while she was married to Tom, now she has 2 kids with another guy. I think it's 2. Of course now we are supposed to believe that he got Katie pregnant within weeks of meeting her.

tom & katie drive me nuts.
its so weird that when they said they were together, they both had movies coming out in theatres.
maybe the whole baby thing was apart of this too.
notice how Suri was born right before MI:III ?
anyone see a pattern ?

There is definitey a pattern. They should have named the baby "Publicity Stunt".

I actually agree on the no sugar bit. Not that babies can "sense" it, but that it really isn't anything they should be having that early in life if the parentS don't want them to. The dim lighting combined with the no touching or speaking to the baby is worrying. Babies need visual and auditory stimuli. It's how their little brains develop normally. Of course, the worst bit is the Wagner. Really Tom! Of all the wonderful classical artists, Wagner?! Must Xenu's future consort be not only an automaton, but a sociopathic one?

talking about the baby...
doesn't tom go by a stage name? his real name is thomas cruise mapother IV or something

so for all the fuss we've been making over 'suri cruise'...
it might actually be suri mapother!

i think i prefer suri cruise now :innocent:

I took that paragraph on sugar to mean that Tom didn't want Katie eating anything sugary near Suri, not that he didn't want Suri to have that so early in life. If it was just that he didn't want Suri to start on sugary stuff now then of course I agree.

It was oddly worded...he doesn't want Katie to have anything sugary near Suri...isn't she being breastfed? Does he mean he doesn't want Katie to eat sugar because it'll indirectly wind up in Suri - a valid discussion for parents to have, if it's an actual discussion and not an edict from on high - or is she not breastfeeding and he just doesn't want cupcakes in the house because Suri's sugar-sense will tingle?

I know they want us to think that she's breastfeeding, since they put her unhooked nursing bra on full, public display, but who knows what's really going on.

I hope they release pics of Suri soon, with Brooke Shield's daughter's out there. It'll be interesting to compare babies born on the same day at the same hospital - or rumored to be, anyway, according to Brooke :D

the newest rumor is that he has forbidden katie to play any coldplay in their house to suri.

*BARFING*

tonight i will go and see MI3B) i hope is nice!

I do hope you like it :flower: It's annoying to go see something in the theater and then not enjoy it, and feel like you wasted money, since it's so bloody expensive now.

I'm saving my next theater trip for X3 though, can't wait! :D

Hahah, I got to give him credit for preventing little Suri from growing into a melancholic indie (oops, that's redundant). :D

Katie Holmes' parents are said to be "heartbroken" because they had to wait 2 and a half weeks to see their grandchild Suri. Even though Suri was born on April 17th the anxious grandparents had to wait until May 4th - the day "Mission: Impossible 3" premiered in Los Angeles.

They were specifically not invited until Tom returned from his worldwide promotional tour so he could monitor the interaction. Katie's parents, Martin and Kathleen Holmes are afraid to speak out in fear they'll be isolated even further from Katie and baby Suri.

Tom's mother, Mary Jo Mapother-South and his sisters were present in the delivery room while the Holmes family were at their vacation home in Florida when they first heard word of the birth.
