"I'm surprised they didnt take the baby out so the unworthy unwashed masses could kiss its precious feet."

Me too. I'm surprised that they didn't drag the baby along the red carpet as well or announce that Suri was desperate to come out and see MI3. I can only conclude that they haven't managed to find a baby to pass off as their own yet or we are going to be treated to a massive famewhoring spread in People or OK mag which will also serve to promote MI3.

Yeah I loved the neck control comment as well. Isn't it a few months until babies can control their necks and hold their heads up? or longer even. idiot.

Through all of this, I just keep thinking that I feel bad for his other 2 kids Connor and Isabella. For starters, I am sure that they were not born through silent births. The way Tom speaks of silent birth, children born this way are supposed to be more well-adjusted. I wonder if his children are like, "Dad, what are you implying about us?" I understand that this is Tom's first biological kid, but the way he talks about her, it's like he is a first time dad and never knew what all the fuss about parenthood was until now. Hopefully, Connor and Isabella are aware that their dad is wacked out and are not hurt by all of this, but how could they not be at least a bit?

On Letterman he also said something like he was really excited to be a dad. It was a really insensitive comment. He mentioned his other kids at another point but the stuff he said just sounded so stupid.

http://health.yahoo.com/ency/healthwise/ue5465 - looks to be about 3 months for most babies. When did they disappear around Fuji again?

Either that - and I hate to say it, because the poor child, with Tom's views on such things - Suri could have a neurological disorder. In some children with autism for example, they raise their heads and have a degree of neck control startleingly early. One of my brothers had a traumatic birth and now has high-functioning autism, and according to my mother, scared her with how quickly he was rolling about and lifting his head. She said it was within the first month. I wouldn't make the connection except I've heard dozens of autism-moms tell the same story, and have never heard it from the mom of a "normal" child.

But Tom's probably just exaggerating for effect like always. I also feel sorry for Connor and Isabella - they're probably used to it, but I don't know if that makes it more or less sad.

Yeah on all the talk shows he is jumping on couching screaming, "I am soooo excited to be a DAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (sits back down) Oh...and I also have 2 kids already named "What's his name?" and "That's the girl."

totally agree and I do feel bad for Connor and Isabella. but those kids are so emmersed into the Church of Scientology that sadly I suspect that they're not feeling any pain or "unwanted" emotions :innocent:

I agree! and apparently there is a massive bidding war for the first pictures of the baby. Agencies are planning to sell them for over a million.

Nope, but it sounds crazy. I'm starting to think that Tom is crazy or something like that.

I wonder if Nicole said anything to Tom to stop the kids from being Scientology followers....?

Did Mimi Rogers get Tom Cruise into Scientology?

I would hope that there isn't anything wrong with Suri cause you know sure as hell that she wouldn't be getting the appropriate treatment she needs as it would conflict with Tom's Scieno beliefs. It's long been said that John Travolta's son Jett is autistic but as the Scienos don't believe autism is a legitimate disease they claim the kid has something else, caused by exposure to chemicals if I remember right.

Nic has often stated she never converted to Scientology and that she's Catholic. Tom and Isabella are supposedly tutored by Tom's sisters who are Scienos so I imagine the are imersed in the cult 24-7 unless they are with Nic. Nic's dad is a psychiatrist or a psychotherapist so hopefully he's able to debunk some of the Scienos nonsense for his grandkids especially their beliefs that shrinks are harmful and kill people. That's just so people won't seek help for mental health issues. Instead pop a vitamin and you'll be fine!!

I was kind of appaulled when I read an article in this week's Star claiming that Nicole is never photographed with Isabella and Connor but Katie and Tom are always with them. It said something like "why doesn't Nicole spend time with her children?" How horrible is that? Maybe she DOES spend time with them at HOME like normal families and doesn't display them in front of the media for publicity for crying out loud!

there is a picture of Nicole with her kids at a game in the latest Ladies Home Journal cover story about her. I wouldnt get upset about anything I read in the Star if I were you

^ I just think its rude that the magazine is trying to make it look like she is a bad mother.

I've seen Nic with the kids, at Lakers games for instance. I think Nic is more private when she is with the kids, she doesn't flog them out like Tom does. I swear Tom must have invited every pap in LA to Connor and Isabella's soccer games, he turned it into a circus. Course it all becomes about Tom and Katie. How is that supposed to make his kids feel? the other kids and parents feel? I think Nic is the better parent because she doesn't expose them to that kind of publicity and she tries to let them live their lives out of the cameras. Tom is using the kids so he can try and pretend he's the best father who ever lived.

I hate this. I cant watch Dawson's Creek reruns anymore without wanting to slap her. This circus ruined the show. :p

I always assumed that was the kind of thing behind the divorce

My favorite rumor about the divorce, and what I personally believe - because I don't think Tom is actually evil or anything, just completely and utterly off his rocker, and therefore potentially dangerous - is that:

1. Nicole reached a level in Scientology (she had been taking classes throughout their marriage, but never gave up her Catholicism) where things were revealed to her about Xenu, et al; she realized what an insane farce the whole thing is, probably did some of her own outside research into Scieno, saw it for what it was, and wanted to get the hell out of there.

2. Tom was originally going to go with her and the children - immediately prior to their split, they seemed very close. And not in a Hollywood, look at us, we're so happy, putting on an act way. Just very together, and very quiet. There were also persistent rumors swirling that he was going to leave Scientology - I remember because it was what prompted me to read about it for the first time.

3. The Church is very, very powerful, and they blackmailed Tom into staying, with whatever they have on him - I tend to believe the "birth defect" rumors, just because they've been around for so long, and he seems so much more asexual than gay. The whole gay p*rn star lawsuit and everything was deflection. He has to stay, divorces Nic, and winds up falling deeper into the Church. He's completely entrenched now, I don't think there's any hope for him.

Whatever the truth, I've found the whole thing extremely sad lately. I used to laugh, or get irate, when he made an appearance/started spouting off about something he knows absolutely nothing about. Now I'm just sad for him, and everyone involved. The whole Scientology thing is just too weird.
