this thread should be titled "the trend of being sick of the trend"

the whole boho trend now that Jessica Simpsons is copying it makes it a whole lot worse, because she can't pull of the Sienna Miller & Kate Moss style

its getting into winter again in australia and the ugg boots are coming back. son't get me wrong on a rare occasion i'll see someone making uggboots look oh lovely but with mini skirts the make me sick. especially coloured ugg boots, if youre going to have them KEEP THEM BROWN the pink ones ew. I hate ugg boots chunky and yuck, please, and now.. sorry about this americans, but some one or people in america are claiming ugg boots to be theirs when the trend actually started on like farms in australia... but it doesn't matter keep your precious ugg boots, just keep them away from me.

Goodness I am sick of them too, although I must say- when it is below freezing out and a snow storm has just invaded new york city, it's nice to wear them (not the sock kind everyone has, but the ones with leather waterproof bottoms). They prevent your feet from getting too numb. :-)

boho chic a la sienna miller, unless of course you are sienna miller. but my god, im glad those furry gillets have filtered their way off the streets. i think i saw one i liked during the whole season.
Ponchos for sure, esp the ones that look like net curtains.
Wedges, already.
Colourful wellies
coloured UGGs - oh.dear.god.

uggs
ponchos
chinese slippers
fake designer handbags
too much burberry plaid (should be a law against people wearing more than 2 items w/ an outfit)
FAT people pouring out of their low waisted jeans - disgusting!
juicy couture

I'm sick and tired of people claiming insert trend here is soooo over...
This is exactly why I refuse to follow "trends." Classy is always classy. And some "trends" never looked good in the first place. Really, this thread can be boiled down to a few basic "Don’ts:"
Don't wear skimpy clothes if you don't have the body for it
No kidding. This has never looked good - ever.

Don't overdose on logos
Again. This is never appropriate.

Don't wear/carry fake designer goods
Once again, this has never been acceptable.

I will never understand why the nouveau riche insist on sporting "cutting edge" crap, only to deny and ridicule it six months down the road.

I absolutely agree with you.I am sick of trends, period.I'm sick of being told that this season I shall wear tweed:sick: or espadrilles:sick:  or attempt to look like Sienna Miller at Glastonbury in 2004:sick:   .That my bag has to be this one and that I MUST/MAY NOT wear a hat.

I know what suits me and I know what I like, and that is what I wear. The people I admire most in terms of style seldom have the "must-have" article du jour (or if they do it's by accident...because they liked it long before Tracy from Essex saw it in Company magazine)...but they always look good, interesting, and most of all, themselves.

for men: no more suit jackets with jeans and brogues - tom ford has a lot to answer for!

-Shiny bomber jackets
-Velour tracksuits
-Anything from Juicy Couture, Phat Pharm, Baby Phat, JLO, Guess.....
-Fedoras and cowboy hats.
-Cowboy boots
-Ponchos
-Bolero
-Metallic fabric used as a belt
-Hoop earrings
-Tight butt jeans
-Jeans that look too fake and processed, and with a too try hard coloring
-Thongs (underwear)
-Racerback tops
-American Apparel, really really sick of their uncreativeness (though I of course approve their methods, it's about time they change what they have in store, it's getting sooooooo boring)
-Tiny extra extra short shorts
-Flat and pointy shoes in bold colors

What trends are you absolutely sick of and just want to end?

Personaly, the whole vintage thing is really wearing thin. It's been cool to incorporate old with new, but lately it seems like almost every designer is finding some inspiration from a past decade.

Another I'm getting sick of is the whole ladylike thing. I don't know why, but it's really starting to get boring for me.

I'm sick of all trends..

people flashing the word "etno" around
it hasnt even flashed up yet and i'm really twisting in my sleep.

fat peopin in low cut jeans, yes that's a number as well..
