Trends You Are Sick Of #1

Oh Poor Lady Gaga, she gets hated on so much, and yeah her style isnt the chicest thing in the world in fact its kinda obnoxious but at least its better than Beyonce with her cleavage all over the place.

beyonce doesn't have enormous breasts so i don't really think it looks vulgar when she has cleavage on show. Lady Gaga's camel toe, however....

the thing is with Lady Gaga, though, is that i see her as a caricature pop star, not as a fashion icon or 'trendy' - neither a trend follower nor a trend setter. She seems to have fun with her costumes, but in my opinion, she wears just that - costumes.

^ I think thats put pretty well. Her problem is that she demands to be taken seriously but how can you when she's wearing that kinda stuff.

Anything from L.A. is overrated, trashy, and overdone.

No wonder no one cares about L.A. fashion week

I've been noticing a lot of girls wearing cowgirl leather boots with their frayed, denim miniskirts ... to class! I'm like "wtf? this is not the rodeo, take your trashy look with you to the slaughterhouse and kill that look!!"

Rubber flip-flops. They're nasty looking.

Skinny jeans on shorter or curvier girls. The point of a skinny jean/trouser is to add or enhance curves on girls who have less curvature (myself included). It looks awkward seeing a shorter/curvier girl trying to squeeze into a skinny jean.

The "Kanye West" sunglasses with the blind-shutter-things. I don't know, I never liked it. How can you even see??

(I can't resist coming back to this thread and detest today's atrocious trends

The ultra-severe.

I love a pulled together, well-tailored look, don't get me wrong. It is the best really. But there is a difference between well-tailored and severe. I am bored with it.

And anything Balmain. I mean, new Balmain. The vintage pieces are most beautiful still.

i totally agree with you.
plus, i think it is not appropriate to wear kind of a bathing suit to the restaurant. it is plain provocative and not fashionable or stylish

Geeky, black plastic-rimmed glasses worn by hipsters... well, hipsters in general...

Over accessorizing in jewelry, and in general.

I've always seen MK and Nicole Richie ware these ridiculous amount on rings on there fingers, but honestly, is that even the slightest bit comfortable? I can hardly write/type with a chunky ring its self on, or maybe that's just me.
And these links and links of gold/silver/x-metal bangles. The awful clinging noise whenever they move an arm gets me every time.

Tunics being passed off as dresses. Its becoming impossible for me to find a "dress" that reaches at least mid- thigh. Everything just seems ridiculously short right now and I'm not even that tall. I don't want to have to wear leggings (which I also hate) under everthing for fear of looking indecent.

-Leggings as pants on...how can I say this nicely...people who can't pull them off. Also, very short and ill fitting things (see Beth Ditto).

-Northface jackets with denim skirts, leggings, and horrendously colored uggs. Not necessarily a universal fashion trend, but it's the uniform for most girls around here. It's trashy.

Black leggings, Uggs and oversized shirts combo. Just...no no no.

Also, I second the very curvy girls wearing skinny jeans. It's just ick!

I am sick of seeing young girls look like strippers. Too much make up, too much skin...what are parents thinking?!
GAH YES
the makeup i dont mind (depending on age) because i know when i got my first makeup at like 12 i went crazy with it blush over forhead nose etc, but the showing of heaps of skin with skimpy clothes...no

I hate too much make-up. You know, when the head looks like it belongs to someone else next to the pale body.
