There had better be a superb cover retrospective inside to make up for the feebleness of this. Three decent models on three uninspired 'special' covers that are supposed to entice me into making an online purchase - and while I do like Kate Hudson, in no way do I comprehend why she would be representative of anything about UK Elle, and I've been buying this magazine since 1990.
Oh, and a telephone box bedecked with a Union Jack and a shot of John Galliano - I was about to describe it as being less appealing than staring at a monopoly board, but then I remembered that a monopoly board is a fine piece of design which makes excellent use of London-themed iconography.
However, if I wasn't aware that this was supposed to be an anniversary issue, I would really look forward to seeing that Kate Hudson cover, because I love the angles of her face.
