There had better be a superb cover retrospective inside to make up for the feebleness of this. Three decent models on three uninspired 'special' covers that are supposed to entice me into making an online purchase - and while I do like Kate Hudson, in no way do I comprehend why she would be representative of anything about UK Elle, and I've been buying this magazine since 1990.

Oh, and a telephone box bedecked with a Union Jack and a shot of John Galliano - I was about to describe it as being less appealing than staring at a monopoly board, but then I remembered that a monopoly board is a fine piece of design which makes excellent use of London-themed iconography.

However, if I wasn't aware that this was supposed to be an anniversary issue, I would really look forward to seeing that Kate Hudson cover, because I love the angles of her face.

The Galliano cover is slightly odd, but basically the design that's on the telephone box on the cover is what he's designed and it'll be all around London to celebrate their anniversary. Painted on telephone boxes, walls and such and they'll be appearing at random times and locations.

When you spot one you're supposed to be able to take a photo or something of it and you can win prizes... It's an odd concept. I think the cover would have been stronger if it was just the actual images he's designed and the telephone box wasn't there, but I think they must have wanted it to appear in some form of context on the cover?

Coco's cover looks intersting,Helena's cover is great and Naomi's wow.I actually really like the covers except for the banners .

From the preview, I love Kate`s cover. It`s a headshot but you can see the beauty and sultriness of it. Coco`s cover maybe tacky but it stands out from the rest because it`s an outdoor shot and has colors compared to those of Helena`s and Naomi`s

I also don't understand what Kate Hudson has to do with UK Elle. For me, she's more this california-surfer's-girl type.
