UK Vogue July 2019 : Zoe Kravitz by Steven Meisel

My heart sank when I saw her name in the title, because to me, she's as boring as she is beautiful - but this is great.

I love Vogue covers where the focus is so strong on the face, it could double as a beauty campaign... but you do need someone with a 'cover girl' face to carry it off. Seems to me there's not so many of them around these days.

I missed Meisel. His covers have the glow of Glamour that i’m obsessed with.
And the composition and all is a big step up from Vogue Uk.

As for the ed...Classic Meisel portraits. They are good but also very boring because they are beyond recurrent at Vogue Uk.

There’s a real frustration today in Meisel’s work. Most of the time, it feels like his name is more there as a stamp of approval or just for the name-drop. It’s a pity that people don’t use him in his full capacity...

He used to have platforms where he could challenge himself but now, it seems like it’s gone (apart from the Chloe campaigns).

The photoshop/lighting makes her look, um, quite pale. She always looks gorgeous no matter what but I really don't like the styling.

Its a stunning photo, but the colors are an eyesore. Goodness.

Art direction, for the nth time.

Only complaint: the formulaic covers. Background, text on one side of the cover, two lines as huge text, portrait shot. I mean they’re nice and all but there HAS to be more than that

Absolutely gorgeous, no other words to describe how much I love this.

Must admit that Zoe Kravitz wouldn't be at the top of my cover wishlist but she has photographed wonderfully here before the lens of Meisel (unsurprisingly). I am a sucker for these 80s-type cover images, love the beauty look from Pat McGrath... just a total fan right here.

I think she is pale, and she has model face, stunning as her mother and sexy as her dad . Loved her in Mad Max with all those beauties. About time to see her on the cover of Vogue again. I'll take her over Zendaya all the time.

It's a fantastic cover and Zoe is one of the most beautiful and stylish women at the moment, my only complain is the excessive use of Photoshop that was not necessary at all with such an amazing face.

Beautiful cover! Love the pop of orange and although I'm not her biggest fan Zoe is undeniably gorgeous. I wish Meisel would get out of his studio though, you could practically replace those editorial shots with some of Kaia from her Meisel edit a few issues back and I doubt you could tell the difference.

The cover photo and spread are gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. I love Zoë and I’m really glad she is the one who got the British Vogue promo for Big Little Lies!

That's a lovely cover, for me the orange actually makes it by adding a defined summer feel.

Regarding the preview images from the editorial, you know what you get with Meisel/UK Vogue today ...
