Some more of the retrospective pix. These aren't full pages, I just extracted the parts of the pages that appealed to me
1) Image from August 1972.
2) Ali McGraw cover from 1972 by Bill King.
3) An editorial image by Rico Puhlman from 1975, think it may be Dayle Haddon.
4) Carmel Snow and Diana Vreeland 1952.
5) November 1955 cover by Avedon, featuring Balenciaga.
Well, I have to say she looks beautiful and reflects the american style:simple and clean. Maybe that´s why they chose her for the 140th anniversary cover.
^yeah, but she has already had lots of covers like this, so it's nothing special really to see her like that again.....they should have changed the background, or color, or something....
I just got my issue today, it is soooooo good. I especially loved the Vreeland's "Why Don't You" quotes/HP covers by various designers. I loved the editorials, and the 'Designer Style Swap' was so cute and hilarious. I'm so happy I got the subscriber's cover, I like it. Great issue.
