Too much go buy and read the book factor in it.
But after all, that is what a magazine's supposed to do!

Really beautiful - this was back when Testino made these great, timeless images. This issue also has a beautiful Meisel ed with Caroline Trentini, looking like Natalia V in some photos, I think.

this was such an important fashion story to me, this being my first ever issue of US vogue. testino and natalia have produced some memorable stories together and this is one of them. too bad you can't duplicate them these days.

Could've sworn that I had this issue in my US Vogue collection but I don't, ugh!

Thanks for the flashbacks, btw. It's a real eye-opener to see how American Vogue used to handle each issue, compared to how Anna targets an audience now. The editorial's from around this era had so much finesse and depth. Steven Meisel was an absolute credit to US Vogue, turning out stellar stories one after the other.
