I was hoping they'd do something a bit more interesting with her, to me Katy is a really great, beautiful canvas that most magazines just don't use very well at all.

At least this is very pretty though. Doesn't exactly feel very July-like though, and FALL feels much too big! But very pretty all the same!

I definitely don't mind the cover shot, I certainly think it's the best magazine cover I have seen Katy Perry on. She looks incredibly photogenic and I love how simple the styling is. We're so used to seeing Katy Perry caked in make-up and wearing over-the-top outfits during her performances - it's a nice change. I do agree with honeycombchild, on the 'Fall Fashion' cover line being a little too large and overwhelming for the cover. It makes it more suitable for a September cover, no?

Annie Leibovitz sure does love shooting celebrities sitting amongst nature. We had a similar cover shot with Rihanna for the November 2012 issue. This type of set-up always reminds me of Linda Evagelista's September 2001 cover.. but I'm not complaining.

I'm glad the rumors were true. She looks great on the cover, it's quite a decent shot. Not really a fan of the styling and layout, but they work somehow.

Really great cover, miles better than what I was expecting. I love that they went less eccentric and costumey and more natural, Katy looks really beautiful here.
