When people hate that Witherspoon is on the cover, they say it, and no one is going all bla-bla-bla-it's-your-fault on them. and the fact that people don't like JHud doesn't make them dislike the fact that African Americans or blacks get the cover (I for one loved Liya). BUT HONESTLY, SOMEONE TELL ME WHAT IS FASHIONABLE ABOUT JENNIFER'S PERSONAL STYLE?? NO NO! WAIT... WHAT IS JENNIFER'S PERSONAL STYLE!!??!!?

But isn't fashion and style about transformation as well? She has gone through makeover after makeover since we first saw her, and now she is gradually emerging as a woman of sophistication...and finally, designers are actually paying attention to her *gasp* because of her newfound fame. No matter what anyone says, though, her "lack of style" ultimately does have something to do with her weight. Because the bottomline is that she cannot pull off most of today's "stylish" looks with her current physique, and that hindrance is already a great form of pressure. Why else did she seek to lose weight immediately after Dreamgirls finished production? Because those around her (And even herself) knew very well that she would need to attend the premieres, the awards ceremonies, look "good" for the cameras, and be "stylish." So she did, and surprise, surprise -- the critics (Both in fashion and in film) preferred her over her co-stars, the designers flocked to her side because of her nominations, and the public finally began to take notice.kuba01 said:The fashion industry is a very specific about what is "chic" and what is in fashion. People don't associate Jennifer Hudson with Vogue, not because of her novelty or because shes not particularly thin - its because she has no sense of style and she isn't the emodiement of a Vogue covergirl.
It's simple.

Absolutely. Thank you. She's stunning. God, we've been discussing for five pages and I'm dying to see this! From what I've seen, she wears beautiful dresses that complement her figure perfectly.

Jennifer has a much better chance of reaching A-List status, similar to Sienna Miller and Keira Knightly on the covers before her. Jennifer is also an amazing beat-the-odds story, and who doesn't like one of those?
I think that out of all the actresses you mentioned Chloe Sevigny deservs Vogue cover most. For me she has one of the best styles out there but i dont think its Vogue cover material or whatever their idea of that is,same for Maggie. They are not huge stars ala Kidman,Renne.etc, noone is doubting their talent but this is how the industry works and they appear mostly in independent movies. Now i am surprised Naomi never got Vogue cover but then again i found her pretty plain and boring so i dont care but she is a good actress.ShoeGal4Eva said:Naomi is one of the most talented actresses working in Hollywood right now.In fact, sometimes I find her even more versatile and talented than Nicole Kidman, every single movies she's been in got amazing reviews. She's also very fashion forward with her bold choices from givenchy ,lanvin ,etc.If anyone,Naomi deserves it much more that a girl who's been in just one movie!
Another actress who I think is long overdue for a Vogue cover is Maggie Gyllenhaal. She's been nominated so many times for various awards, amazing actress and has her own unique style.
and last but not least, miss Chloe Sevigny, the most innovative dresser of our time in America who also happened to starred in some of the award-nominated and citically acclaimed films.
