US Vogue November 2007 : Jennifer Connelly by Mario Testino

well, considering what they have been doing lately it's not a bad cover. Nice colors, and I really like Jennifer Connelly though I think the could have done much more with her.

i'm wondering if the rayder girls is actually jenny sweeney. she was in last months vogue. if it's her or missy i'd be happy.

I'm not thrilled about her face in that image. Her eyes look sort of small and beady somehow. Her best angle is head tilted slightly down from straight ahead and an icy stare. Everything else looks great, though, the dress and the pose are lovely.
I agree her face does not look good in that angle, they could have chosen a better shoot for the cover, than that.

I just picked up this issue and I don't have a scanner but if anyone wants me to, I'll happily take camera snapshots of the editorials.

I actually thoroughly enjoyed this issue. Jennifer's editorial was stunning and there were a few shots that I really wish had been chosen as the cover instead. I've never been a huge fan of her but the interview was interesting and I'm now really looking forward to her new movie. Raquel and Coco's editorial is the typical Meisel studio shots, but somehow felt fresh with some use of borders, though I wasn't really impressed with the styling. There's also an unbelievably moving article on drug addicted women with HIV going through rehabilitation. Suvi's editorial was fun, and I didn't mind her too much in it, and the shot of Caroline by Irving Penn really is stunning (though I'll confess I'm a bit biased).

Alright, snapshots coming! I just have to upload them all. The quality isn't great but it'll at least provide an idea.

Suvi is the only bright spot in editorials.

I will get a subscription to Vogue and buy the entire supply of Denver the first time Caroline is not in there. Her same slack-jawed expression as she jumps up and down is pretty much awful. Epic fail, Wintour. Per the norm. :(

I'm not posting the entire thing because some of the pictures are small and there's a lot of text, too, but these are the shots I liked best.

Raquel, Coco and Suvi's editorials look gorgeous! Thanks for the snaps. ^_^:flower:

Isn't that Shannan Click in the Irving Penn editorial? :flower:

I thought it was Shannan, too, but others had suggested one of the Raydars or Jenny Sweeney so I wasn't sure.

Is it that it's blurry, is my mind blurry or is this the best issue of American Vogue in quite a while?

The shots definitely are blurry, but having the real thing in front of my eyes I can say that it actually is one of the best issues in a while. I was quite pleasantly surprised!
